About the job

Would you like to help develop and shape employment efforts in a time of major changes? Do you have a knack for law and would you help municipalities and unemployment insurance funds in their efforts to get the unemployed into jobs? Then we need you as our new lawyer in the Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (STAR).

Become part of an ambitious and professionally strong office In the Labour Market Office we bridge law, policy and practice. We create legislation and develop initiatives and political measures for unemployment benefit recipients and job-ready social assistance recipients as well as for companies that lack workforce from domestic and international.

In the Labour Market, we focus among other things on job search and job placement, and we are responsible for a number of laws relating to the employment efforts. We contribute to an efficient contact process in unemployment insurance funds and municipalities, targeted upskilling for jobseekers and the use of company-oriented initiatives – and not least the overall IT support of the effort.

As our new colleague, you will have varied work with significant influence and responsibility for your tasks. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • support the implementation of political agreements and reforms
  • guide municipalities, unemployment funds and other stakeholders on the interpretation of new rules in the area
  • write bills, regulations and guidelines
  • develop material for the minister and replies to the Parliament
  • prepare briefings for political decisions and contribute to policy development
  • collaborate with the Ministry of Labour Market and the Department, other agencies, ministries and stakeholders in the field, e.g. FH, DA, KL, DAK.

What do we offer? You will become part of a strong professional environment and, together with about 20 colleagues, work on developing and realising Denmark's employment policy. We offer a daily life with emphasis on professionalism, well-being and development, and we highly value sparring, good collegiality and social interaction. We are close to the political inner circle and offer tasks that typically belong in a ministry – in other words, you are with us where it happens.

Become our new colleague You are interested in employment policy and have experience with legal work and political processes. You want to dive into details in the law and contribute to legal interpretation and proposed legislation. At the same time you can think creatively and solution-oriented.

In addition, we envision that you

  • are cand.jur., cand.soc.jur., cand.merc.jur.
  • are good at collaborating, thinking in wholes and finding solutions to difficult problems
  • have good writing skills and can convey complex material in an easily understandable way
  • take responsibility and are professionally curious
  • are flexible and a good colleague who is ready to help.

We would like you to have experience with legal work from an agency or a ministry. The job offers good development opportunities and potential for responsibility. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills and receive sparring from skilled and experienced colleagues. In time you can also develop towards a leadership path.

Salary and employment terms The position is a permanent full-time role. We would like you to start on January 1, 2027.

Depending on your qualifications you will be employed as an administrative officer or a senior consultant under the state academic staff collective agreement. With the right qualifications there is potential for employment as a chief consultant.

Your daily workplace is the Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment, Vermundsgade 38A, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.
