About the job

We are seeking an occupational therapist for our team who treats patients with non-psychiatric disorders.

We are looking for a professionally grounded occupational therapist who is curious about people with non-psychiatric disorders such as depression, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD and autism/ADHD with comorbidity.

Our team is a treatment offering for people with non-psychiatric disorders and low functional level. We work with elements from the F-ACT model (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) and have over the past two years been restructuring and developing the treatment for this patient group. This means that patients are now offered treatment based on manuals that rely on skills training derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

As an occupational therapist with us you will become the contact person for fixed patient pathways, conduct CBT and/or DBT groups and work with shared caseload, where there is a need for a more intensified treatment effort. Interdisciplinary collaboration is at the forefront and you will have ample opportunity to spar with skilled and engaged colleagues, and to help shape the further development of the treatment offering.

The core task is to strengthen patients’ functional ability and mastery of daily life within the treatment framework and support a coherent patient pathway. This is a job with plenty of opportunity for professional and personal development.

You will be part of a team consisting of a clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, occupational therapists, nurses and a psychologist.

We have weekly treatment conferences and ongoing 1:1 meetings with the responsible clinical psychologist.

As part of the psychiatric treatment offering we work with integrated substance use treatment for dual diagnosis issues and are still in the process of sharpening the approach.

Your daily life with us?

During a day you will conduct outpatient consultations with patients and/or have group treatment. Patients typically come to consultations in the outpatient clinic. There may be possibility for home visits if this is deemed appropriate by the team.

You will have a coordinating role regarding the interdisciplinary treatment effort with a focus on strengthening collaboration around patients whose courses cross the health, psychiatric and social sectors.

You will have great influence on organizing your own work. Therefore it will be advantageous to be structured.

Your tasks include, among other things

Primary caregiver for about 20 patient pathways

To hold outpatient conversations based on the treatment plan laid by the responsible psychologist/psychiatrist/doctor. This can typically be individual CBT/DBT programs, with focus on energy management, daily structure etc. For some patients the primary focus will be to help them access the right social services

Hold group treatment based on CBT/DBT manuals.

Documentation and recording of the professional effort in the health platform.

Engage in teaching tasks regarding patients, relatives and students.

Manage joint treatment for patients who require an intensified treatment.

As an occupational therapist you will additionally handle monofaglige tasks such as testing weighted products, sensory profiles and psychiatric rehabilitation plans (GGOP)

What do we offer?

  • An exciting and varied daily life where professionalism, collaboration and initiative are highly valued
  • A team that prioritizes a humorous, safe and inclusive work environment
  • A thorough introduction with a mentor from your own team
  • Regular development days, teambuilding and ongoing supervision
  • Opportunity to enroll in a 1-year patient contact education
  • Ongoing competence development e.g. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Dual Diagnosis (DD)
  • Focus on job satisfaction and creating a healthy distribution of tasks in the team

Who are you?

  • You are a professionally grounded occupational therapist, curious and able to reflect on your own practice
  • You have good collaboration skills and want interdisciplinary collaboration
  • You have experience with or interest in working therapeutically and based on CBT/DBT
  • You must be able to work independently and in a structured manner
  • You wish to contribute to quality development with a creative view of the team’s practice
  • You are prepared to be a daily supervisor for occupational therapy students, as we receive occupational therapy students from the Copenhagen University College (Københavns Professionshøjskole)

Salary and employment terms

We offer a permanent position of 37 hours per week starting 1 January 2027.

You will be employed under the agreement for non-leading occupational therapists, physiotherapists and midwives - 33.21.1

The outpatient clinic is currently open Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:00 and Friday 08:00-15:00. Your working hours will therefore primarily lie within this timeframe.

The region is a 24-hour area, and you may be scheduled for shifts outside the outpatient hours as needed in accordance with the rules in the applicable working-time agreement.

The outpatient clinic is located at Strandboulevarden 96, 2100 Copenhagen Ø and our catchment area is Copenhagen Ø and K.
