About the job

Do you want to help create change where it matters most – in the citizen's own everyday life? Are you motivated to translate your occupational therapy professional skills into meaningful changes for the citizens? Do you thrive with independence, cross-disciplinary collaboration and the opportunity to develop the rehabilitation effort? Then it may be you we are looking for to our Home Rehabilitation Team.

With us you will have the opportunity to use your occupational therapy expertise where it makes the biggest difference: in the citizen's own home and in the activities that give meaning to daily life. At the same time you become part of an organization in development, where we work purposefully with rehabilitation and strong collaboration across professions, units and sectors.

As an occupational therapist in the rehabilitation team you will be the coordinator of rehabilitation programs for citizens who experience challenges in everyday life. Based on the citizen's goals, resources and wishes, you will work with assessment of functional capacity, activity-based training, goal setting, follow-up and coordination of interventions around the citizen.

We work purposefully to strengthen citizens' independence and the opportunity to live an autonomous and meaningful life for as long as possible. At the same time we work diligently with the implementation of the Elderly Law's intentions, where rehabilitation, self-determination, prevention and holistic interventions are central. We work with identification of activity problems, activity observations and structured goal setting as an integrated part of our rehabilitative practice.

In addition we participate in the ABLE research project in collaboration with SDU, which we are seriously implementing and developing further in 2027.

A significant part of the job involves collaboration. Home care is one of your most important partners, and together you translate rehabilitation goals into actions in the citizen's daily life. You contribute with professional sparring, guidance and reflection, so that rehabilitation becomes an integrated part of the efforts around the citizen. You also take on an important role as a rehabilitation ambassador. Therefore, we are not only looking for a skilled occupational therapist, but a colleague who can bridge professions, support the rehabilitative approach and contribute to the development of our efforts.

Your working day takes place close to the citizens and takes you around the entire municipality, both by e-bike and by car. A driver's license is therefore an advantage. You will be attached to one of the municipality's three home care districts, because we believe that strong relationships and good local collaboration make a difference. When we know each other across professional groups, we are stronger in the work of creating meaningful and coherent rehabilitation pathways for the citizens.

Some days you will have meetings in Nærum, while on other days you will report to your home care district or visit citizens directly. It provides good opportunities to be close to both partners and citizens in daily task execution.

You may have experience with rehabilitation and ADL training. You may come with experience from another area and want to bring your professional skills into a new setting. The most important is that you are curious, collaborative and motivated to create development together with both citizens and colleagues.

In return you become part of a strong therapeutic professional environment with colleagues who work with rehabilitation and re-education across citizens' homes, outpatient offerings and complex rehabilitation pathways at our centers. It provides good opportunities for sparring, learning and professional development.

Home rehabilitation is part of Health and Training in Rudersdal Municipality. We believe that the best rehabilitation pathways are created in an equitable collaboration between citizen and healthcare professionals, and that the solutions should be anchored in the life the citizen wishes to live. With the Elderly Law as an important compass we work to strengthen citizens' ability to live an independent life on their own terms through preventive and rehabilitative initiatives.

At the same time we are developing both organization, collaboration forms and task solving to create more coherent pathways across sectors. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who not only wants to solve today’s tasks but also wishes to contribute to tomorrow's solutions.
