About the position

We are looking for an engaged and professionally curious occupational therapist for our hand therapy team in Physio- and Occupational Therapy at Esbjerg Hospital. A smaller part of your tasks will be directed toward inpatients in the orthopedic surgical department, other medical and neurological wards. • Instruction of patients in exercises and adjustment of prefabricated splints as well as guidance in handling daily activities
  • Specialized rehabilitation of hand-surgical patients with complex injuries – including fabrication of individually customized orthoses
  • Participation in the CPOP follow-up program
  • Occupational therapy assessment of inpatients

We are looking for an occupational therapist who

  • Is interested in contributing to the work with assessment of hand function in children with cerebral palsy
  • Can maintain an overview in a busy daily routine and can prioritize the occupational therapy efforts for the different types of patients
  • Has good communication skills in writing and speech – dialogue and documentation are an essential part of the daily work
  • Can work independently and at the same time actively participate in team collaboration with e.g. doctors and nurses when required.
  • Is professionally engaged and actively contributes to the development of the profession

We can offer

  • An exciting and varied position with the opportunity to specialize in the hand therapy area for both adults and children
  • A Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy department with a strong professional and social community
