Are you passionate about good, homemade food, and would you like to make a difference for people in everyday life? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as our new nutrition assistant at Gelsted Nursing Home.

With us, meals are much more than food on a plate. The hot meals are delivered from our central kitchen, while we prepare other meals, open-faced sandwiches, baked goods and warm dishes ourselves. Food is an important part of residents' daily lives, joy and community, and we emphasize good taste, high quality, nutrition and presence.

As a climate-friendly home we value seasonal produce and are happy to use the harvest from our garden in our cooking. At the same time we work purposefully to minimize food waste.

We work closely in the residential units, where you will have your main workplace. The meals help support residents' well-being through good experiences, communication, scents and presence.

Who are we?

You will become part of a strong work community together with our other nutrition assistant. Together you currently support three residential units, and in 2027 we will open yet another unit.

With us we help each other, take shared responsibility and work together to create good meals and a wonderful everyday life for our residents.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare tasty and nutritionally correct food from scratch, including warm dishes and home baking.
• Contribute to planning and production of today’s meals.
• Ensure high quality, good hygiene and proper handling of foods.
• Work closely with the other nutrition assistant as well as the remaining staff and residents.
• Prepare food for festive events, holidays and special occasions.
• Arrange open-faced sandwiches and pack food baskets for residents participating in excursions and activities.
• Contribute to a kitchen characterized by order, good mood and professional development.
• Create good meal experiences and cozy moments together with the residents.

Working hours and terms of employment

The position is 30-37 hours per week.

The working hours are generally

• Monday to Friday 07:00-14:00.
• Weekends off.

We emphasize flexibility and help each other cover for holidays and absence. There may be occasional evening shifts in connection with festive events and special occasions.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with applicable collective agreement.

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.
