Become an outreach street-level worker in Social Psychiatry

Would you like to help create contact, hope and new possibilities for people with severe mental illnesses and complex social challenges?

As part of the national 10-year plan for psychiatry, Slagelse Municipality is establishing a new outreach street-level initiative in social psychiatry.

Therefore we are seeking an experienced and relationship-building employee for a 30-hour project position. There is expected an annual appropriation until 2029 with the possibility of eventual anchoring.

The position is organizationally located in the Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry (RoS) and linked to the Social Emergency Service at Århusvej. There is a possibility to supplement the position with 7 hours per week in the Social Emergency Service and thereby achieve full-time.

About the job

You will outreach to citizens who have limited or no contact with relevant treatment and support services. Your main tools are relationships, perseverance and the ability to meet people with respect and curiosity.

Your tasks will among other things be to

• outreach to citizens in their local environment
• create and maintain trusting relationships
• identify citizens' needs and wishes
• motivate and accompany citizens to relevant offers
• build a bridge to social psychiatry, treatment psychiatry, health services and addiction treatment
• coordinate efforts and collaborate with relevant actors around the citizen.

You will be part of a strong multidisciplinary collaboration around some of the municipality's most vulnerable citizens. In particular you will work closely with Toftens §99-initiative, where you through joint meetings and professional sparring ensure coordination and coherence in the outreach effort.

In addition you will collaborate with the Social Emergency Service, social psychiatry, treatment psychiatry, the substance area, civil society actors and other relevant services and interventions for citizens in social vulnerability.

• has a relevant social professional education
• has experience with social psychiatry and citizens in vulnerability
• works independently and in outreach
• is strong in relationship work and interdisciplinary collaboration
• can navigate complex citizen pathways
• is willing to help develop a new initiative.
