Do you have solid practical experience with probate handling, and would you like a position where you have independent responsibility for your own cases from start to finish?

Recruitment Djursland is seeking on behalf of a client in Copenhagen an experienced and independent lawyer for a permanent, direct employment.

Probate handling will be your primary area of work. We are therefore looking for someone who is already familiar with the process and desires a role with high professional autonomy, responsibility and close contact with clients, authorities and other relevant parties.

The position is aimed at a profile that has the necessary practical experience and can take responsibility for their own probate cases from the beginning.

Your tasks

Your primary responsibility will be independent handling of probate estates. You will, among other things, work with:

• Independent handling of probate estates from start to finish
• Preparation of opening status and estate accounts
• Management of deadlines, documentation and financial matters in the estates
• Contact and coordination with probate courts, the Tax Administration, banks, heirs and other relevant parties
• Legal advice to heirs throughout the case
• Handling of legal issues within inheritance and family law
• Preparation of wills, prenuptial agreements, durable powers of attorney and other family-law documents
• Preparation and registration of deeds
• Advice in connection with the purchase and sale of real estate
• Independent case management, documentation and follow-up
• Efficient digital case processing and document management

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a lawyer who is professionally strong, structured and comfortable working independently.

The crucial factor is not only the number of years in the industry, but that you have real and practical experience with probate handling and can take responsibility for the entire case process.

We expect that you

• Have approximately 3-5 years of relevant legal professional experience
• Have solid practical experience with handling probate estates
• Have independently handled probate estates from start to finish
• Have in-depth experience with opening status and estate accounts
• Have a strong knowledge of inheritance and family law
• Are accustomed to dialogue with probate courts, the Tax Administration, banks and other relevant parties
• Can advise heirs professionally and create an overview in complex and sensitive situations
• Work in a structured and secure manner with deadlines, documentation and case workflows
• Can drive their own cases forward with a high degree of independence
• Have strong IT skills and experience with digital case management systems

It is advantageous if you also have experience with

• Wills
• Prenuptial agreements
• Durable powers of attorney
• Other family-law documents
• Deeds and registration
• Advice on the purchase and sale of real estate

These areas are relevant to the role, but probate handling is the position's clear main focus.
