About the job

Are you a social- and health care assistant who thrives in a strong work community where professionalism, collaboration and patient-centered care go hand in hand?

Do you want to work somewhere where care is about more than tasks and routines? Where there is room for professional pride, humanity and teamwork? With us you get real influence on everyday life and the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of the department.

With us you will be seen and heard. We start shifts together, meet daily for board meetings and talk openly about both what works and what challenges us. It is natural to ask for help, and no one is expected to manage it all alone.

We actively work to create good and sustainable shift schedules with focus on balance between work life and private life.

With us orthopaedic surgery is not only bones, operations and rehabilitation. It is about meeting people in vulnerable situations, small progress, big challenges and colleagues who stand together.

We are seeking a social- and health care assistant who wants to be an active part of a team where we help each other and create quality in everyday life.

About the department

We are an orthopaedic surgical ward with space for 21 patients. Patients range from planned operations to acute injuries and traumas.

As a social- and health care assistant you will become an important part of the interdisciplinary collaboration around the patients and contribute to care, observation, rehabilitation and discharge processes.

What you can expect

  • A structured induction program and individual training tailored to your competencies and experience
  • Opportunity for ongoing competence development within orthopaedic surgery, rehabilitation and acute patient pathways
  • A strong collegial community, where we help and support each other
  • A work environment with a strong focus on well-being, respect and integrity
  • Visible leadership close to everyday life. We eat lunch together on Mondays and Fridays
  • Real influence on workflows and development in the department
  • Co-determination in shift planning
  • Work every 3rd weekend and work in a two-shift system
  • Focus on balance between work and private life
  • Possibility of permanent employment after the temporary position ends

Who are you?

You are trained as a social- and health care assistant and want to contribute to a strong professional and collegial community.

It is important that you have experience from a clinical ward and enjoy working around hospitalized patients.

Experience with orthopaedic patients is an advantage but not a requirement. We value engagement, responsibility and the desire to develop you professionally.

The way you are as a colleague is important to us. We are looking for someone who meets both patients and colleagues with care, respect and openness.

You will thrive with us if you

  • Thrive in a work community
  • Like a high tempo and a varied everyday life
  • Have experience with basic care and rehabilitation
  • Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Want to develop yourself professionally
  • Contribute positively to the community
  • Thrive with interdisciplinary collaboration
