About the job

Expert sought for vacant position at EUPOL COPPS

Application deadline: 27/10/2026

Do you want to contribute to strengthening Denmark's civilian engagement in the world's flashpoints? Then these positions might be for you. Through the Deployment Facility for Peace and Democracy (UFD), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers exciting challenges and the opportunity to make a difference through secondment to EU civilian crisis management missions.

Job description and qualifications

The EU has announced several positions at the EU’s civilian mission in Palestine.

However, applications can only be submitted for the following positions through UFD

  • HOM 04 Political Adviser
  • HOM 07 Human Rights Adviser
  • JUS 10 Criminal Justice Senior Adviser
  • JUS 12 Justice Senior Adviser
  • SSR 01 Head of Security Sector Reform Unit
  • HOM 10 Head of Security and Health Department

The general qualification requirements and a description of the position can be found here .

A description of the mission can be found on the mission’s website .

Conditions

The duration of the deployment is expected to be 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Deployment takes place under the terms of the Deployment Facility for Peace and Democracy: Regulations for UFD personnel.

Please note that it is a requirement for deployment through UFD that you are a Danish citizen.

Please be aware that this post is categorized as a security-sensitive post. Any employment is, among other things, conditional on you presenting a medical certificate declaring you “fit for mission in a high risk area”, being deemed suitable by a psychological screening and completing the mandatory courses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs/UFD forwards applications from the best-qualified candidates to the EU, which invites the most qualified applicants to interview. The EU also receives applications for the positions from other EU member states. If the EU wishes to fill a position with a Danish candidate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/UFD will enter into a contract with the person – a so-called secondment.

Application

To apply for positions, please register and apply via the EU’s online application system “Goalkeeper”: https://goalkeeper.eeas.europa.eu/registrar/web/DPA/11127/details.do

To apply as seconded staff, you should click the “Register now” button to the right next to NIRAS A/S Denmark. (If the link does not work, please copy the address into your browser).

The application must be uploaded in “Goalkeeper” no later than 27/10/2026 at 09:00.

If you have questions about the positions, you are welcome to contact UFD at the email [email protected] .

If you have questions about Goalkeeper, please see this FAQ or contact the Goalkeeper team at [email protected]

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs/UFD aims to promote equality and diversity and therefore encourages all qualified and interested candidates to apply for the positions.

We look forward to receiving your application.

For information, in addition to secondments through UFD, there is an opportunity to apply for directly contracted positions with EU civilian missions. These positions are not anchored in the UFD/MO, but can be applied for by all EU citizens. See more in the job posting link and apply for the positions via the following link . Unfortunately, we cannot assist with contracted applications, but many answers can be found on the FAQ page linked above. Otherwise, the Goalkeeper team can be contacted at [email protected] .
