The Department of Digitalization at Copenhagen Business School invites applications for positions as a part-time external lecturer in areas related to digitalization, technology and business.

As an external lecturer, you will bring current industry knowledge and practical experience into the classroom. You will contribute to the department’s teaching activities and provide students with valuable insights into how digital technologies are developed, implemented and managed in organizations.

We welcome applicants with expertise in one or more areas relevant to the department, such as:

  • Digital transformation and innovation
  • Information systems and technology management
  • Data, analytics and artificial intelligence
  • Programming, software development and digital platforms
  • Agile methods, system analysis and digital product development
  • Digital strategy, organisation and change management
  • Social media and digital communication

The position may include

  • Planning and conducting teaching
  • Developing teaching materials and exam questions
  • Student supervision
  • Conducting examinations and other forms of assessment

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a relevant master’s degree and have substantial, up-to-date professional experience within one or more of the department’s academic areas. Relevant teaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement. To be considered for the position, applicants must be resident in Denmark and available to teach in person on campus at Copenhagen Business School.

We are looking for candidates who must have

  • High-level practical experience at a high level, which has not been gained through academic employment with a university, or
  • Employment in an academic principal position with another university (e.g. as assistant professor/researcher, associate professor/senior researcher, or professor/professor with special responsibilities).
  • A part-time lecturer who is employed on the merits of his or her relevant practical experience must possess in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the possible applications of the subject/academic discipline. This knowledge is/has been acquired through employment within the subject/academic discipline.
  • Employment as part-time lecturer presupposes that teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for an external professor.
  • Can teach in English and/or Danish

External lecturers provide an important practical supplement to the teaching undertaken by the department’s researchers. The position offers an opportunity to engage with ambitious students, participate in an international academic environment and contribute to the department’s network of external lecturers.

The conditions of employment and the qualification requirements are described further in the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities .
