About the job

Do you want to use your psychology expertise to create greater participation opportunities for children and young people?

In Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality we work proactively to develop strong, community-building learning environments where more children can thrive, develop, and remain part of their local daycare or school. Therefore we are seeking an authorized psychologist for PPR, who can contribute with high psychological quality in assessment work and translate their knowledge into concrete solutions close to the children’s everyday lives.

With us you will become part of a strong cross-disciplinary community, where psychological expertise is actively used in the development of both general and special education areas.

We are looking for a psychologist with high professional standards and good collaboration skills to handle PPR tasks.

This is a permanent position from 01.01.27 at 37 hours per week.

About the position

In Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality the overarching strategic focus area for the school and day-care sector is “Community-building learning environments”. The goal is to increase participation capacity in our day-care facilities and our public schools, so that even more children and youth thrive and develop in their local day-care or school environment.

As a psychologist in PPR you will be part of a dedicated and cross-disciplinary strong PPR team, where everyone co-creates in a dynamic development process with the aim of achieving good results in collaboration with the children, their families as well as day-care and schools.

In FMK our pedagogical psychological consultants, pedagogical inclusion consultants and speech/hearing consultants are permanently attached to schools and day-care facilities, where they handle the consultative task of developing community-building learning environments. As a psychologist you will be connected to the team when there are children and youths who, despite good consultative initiatives, still experience difficulties in the learning environment.

Your focus will be to explore the child’s perspectives at both the individual and actor level and collaborate with the rest of the PPR team to create micro-actions in practice that will increase the child’s participation opportunities in the learning environment.

In addition you will be the coordinator for some of our special education offers at children and youth homes, where you will be responsible for PPR tasks. The majority of students in these offers are placed in a children and youth home and have a special education need related to placement in the form of a significant functional limitation - either socially and emotionally, cognitively or in the form of a diagnosis. In addition to the PPR task you will here have to participate in network meetings with social workers.

Your tasks will consist of

  • Drafting pedagogical psychological assessments
  • Consultation/supervision of pedagogical staff
  • Participation in status and follow-up meetings at children and youth homes
  • Participation in internal treatment conferences, where you provide psychological expertise to other professional groups in PPR
  • Professional development work

About us

Prevention and Health is a multidisciplinary team consisting of PPR, Easily Accessible Services, Health Service, Dental Service, Youth Guidance and SSP.

The professionalism and wellbeing are high. We have a trust-based and informal approach to each other and always a sharp focus on the task. In Prevention and Health we, together with the Children and Family area, are focused on early and cross-disciplinary interventions for the benefit of children, youth and their families, which is why our frontline staff consisting of social worker, pedagogical psychological consultant and health visitor are permanently anchored in the Preventive team in all day-care facilities and schools.

We are physically located in Gislev together with the shared secretariat and the integrated social area.

We also have an inviting prevention house available in Vester Hæsinge for carrying out preventive activities, including talk and group sessions.

About you

You are a trained psychologist with a basic authorization and have experience in the child and youth sector. We are seeking a psychologist who has knowledge of and interest in both the specialized and general educational practice field in day-care and school settings. You are passionate about developing the specialized interventions in the primary school area, so that we succeed with the goal of strengthening general environments and thus retain as many children as possible in their school-nature environment.

You thrive in both delving into clinical assessment work and facilitating sparring/supervision processes with pedagogical staff in day-care and schools.

We seek a psychologist who is professionally grounded in systemic theory, and who can challenge existing positions in an objective, positive and forward-looking spirit.

If you have knowledge of or interest in children with autism and treatment of school reluctance, this would be a plus.

We are looking for a psychologist who can

  • Create good contact and establish a relationship as well as access the children and their parents with a differentiated view of their individual needs
  • Convey professional material in an accessible way – based on the premise that the recipient decides the message
  • Maintain overview and create structure in both task execution and planning of the workday
  • Reflect on your own practice and be open to supervision and sparring
  • Be professionally engaged in the PPR task and wish to take initiative and responsibility into the continued professional development of the offer and the shared psychology professionalism in the group

further professional development of the offer and the shared psychology professionalism in the group

We offer

  • To become part of a professionally strong psychology group, where professionalism and engagement in task-solving are highly valued

  • Possibility of flexible working hours and remote work
  • Good opportunities for ongoing continuing education and supervision including attainment of specialist training in educational psychology
