Psychologist sought for ADHD treatment and general psychiatric assessment.

We need two psychologists for the Clinic for Psychiatric Assessment and the Clinic for ADHD in Hospital Unit Central Denmark, spanning the municipalities of Skive, Viborg, and Silkeborg.

This position is for Psychiatry in Viborg, and a corresponding position has been advertised for Psychiatry House in Silkeborg. The position is 37 hours per week, and it is available for filling as of January 1, 2027.

About Clinic for Psychiatric Assessment and Clinic for ADHD

The Clinic for Psychiatric Assessment receives all newly referred patients for outpatient assessment and treatment. This occurs in collaboration between psychologists with different specialisms, experienced psychiatric nurses, and doctors and specialists. The clinic has existed for many years, and we have developed good professional standards and workflows to jointly conduct high-quality assessments.

Our aim is to provide our patients with a qualified and swift evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis so they can be referred to a relevant treatment offer in the department's other clinics. It is a priority for us that each assessment is experienced as a team effort and not a solo project.

The Clinic for ADHD handles treatment of ADHD. The regional psychiatry target group in the ADHD area is characterized by comorbid mental disorders such as anxiety disorders, affective disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and substance-related issues. As a psychologist, you will conduct short psychotherapeutic courses for a smaller proportion of patients, participate in interdisciplinary conferences, contribute with differential diagnostic considerations, and sometimes assist with further assessment.

The Clinic for ADHD is engaged in the regional ADHD network and the Professional Committee ADHD, and annually we travel together to a ADHD day to keep ourselves professionally sharp.

The two clinics are organized under the same professional leadership and share premises. The working environment is characterized by mutual trust, openness, helpfulness, and a healthy dose of humor. We prioritize community, easy accessibility, and having lunch together. At conferences there is a good and professional tone with space for input from all professional groups.

There are regular psychological professional group meetings and a good collaborative climate across the entire department, and there is an opportunity for tests supervision in a group.

Qualifications

We are looking for a psychologist with the following professional and personal qualifications:

• If you are a Psychologist with practice education/Clinical psychologist, this would be an advantage. Any further specialization could also be of interest.
• Interest in neurodivergence.
• Broad knowledge of and experience in psychopathology and differential diagnosis.
• Proficient in relation to psychological assessments as well as cognitive assessment of patients with psychiatric conditions.
• Good collaboration skills, engagement, and good humor.
• Desire for professional development.
• Experience with Electronic Patient Journal (EPJ) or similar documentation system.
• Ability to participate in supervision tasks.
