Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality seeks an experienced social worker for 37 hours/week for the Children's and Youth Homes Fjelleruphus and Damtoften.

Then we currently have a permanent position as a social worker at the Children’s and Youth Homes in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality.

At the Children and Youth Homes there is a strong focus for all staff on creating a qualitative treatment process in as home-like a environment as possible, with a structured daily routine full of good activities. As an employee you will have a clear opportunity, together with management and a professionally skilled and curious group of colleagues, to set the direction for the future treatment work for the children at Fjelleruphus and Damtoften. You will become the coordinating lynchpin in the interdisciplinary and treatment collaboration, in close collaboration with your social worker colleague who holds the same function as you.

The position starts on December 1 or as soon as possible. It is a permanent position of 37 hours per week. You will be attached as an internal adviser at Fjelleruphus.

Arbejdsopgaverne vil bl.a. være at

• Qualify status reports, notifications and other written material so that it is usable for the statutory social workers in the children's municipalities. Including ensuring that the involvement of the children is described in the written material delivered to the municipalities. cf. the Child Act.
• Ensure that we are constantly up-to-date with the applicable legislation in the field.
• Take minutes at treatment conferences.
• Ensure written records in what is sent out of the house and must be filed with the placing municipality.
• Support management in various descriptions relating to the children- and youth homes.
• Support the work of involving children and support the procedural rights in voluntary and coercive placements together with the placing municipality.
• Ensure that all use-of-force forms are completed and carried out correctly and sent to the Social Supervisory Authority (Socialtilsynet) and placing municipalities on time.
• Communicate to the pedagogical staff what are legal uses of force.
• Plan admission meetings, treatment conferences, follow-up meetings in accordance with applicable law.
• Support family work.
• Support involvement of the child, the child’s parents and network in collaboration with the placing municipality and the pedagogical staff.
• Support that we work with a systemic approach to contexts and transitions in the child’s life.
• Support the collaboration with placing municipalities. Support the good cooperation across sectors. Including helping to create an understanding of what is possible under the Child Welfare Act and communicating this to the staff group. In this way, upskill especially new employees to understanding what is possible under social legislation.
• Draft contracts/packages for the municipalities (possibly extra support).

Om dig

You are a dedicated and engaged colleague who can work in a dialogic manner with an appreciative approach. You can work independently and articulate yourself both verbally and in writing. You have experience as a social worker in the residential care sector with placed children and young people.

It is important to us that you are passionate about the target group and can see yourself in a daily life where things can be fast-paced and unpredictable at times, but where there is also room for fun, laughter and collegial community.

Fjelleruphus and Damtoften are an integral part of the Children and Family Department in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality. We are two 24-hour facilities with room for 23 children and youths with behavioral and attachment disorders. These are children and young people who for various reasons cannot live at home or with a fostering family.

Our treatment work is based on a psychodynamic and systemic approach. We work mentalization-based based on attachment theory. We value a flexible, open and caring working environment where we are mutually committed to supporting the good well-being of children, young people and adults.
