Facilities Service Technician for the Establishment and Terrain Command at Svanemøllen Barracks

About us

The Establishment- and Terrain Command has its headquarters in Hjørring, but has staff at service sites across the country.

We deliver and develop the physical premises for the military operative units and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence. We ensure heating and water, perform building maintenance and minor repairs, operations tasks on our firing ranges and training areas, and much, much more.

Many of the tasks are performed by our 28 establishment partner elements, distributed at the largest service sites across the country. Here everything from user inquiries and purchasing to event support and building maintenance is handled.

In the past, many of these tasks were performed by an external supplier, but we have brought some of the work in-house to better support everyday life in the Defence and the operational needs.

Therefore, in recent years we have welcomed many new colleagues, all of whom are to contribute to creating better physical premises throughout the Defence. It is a major change, and it will be a busy and exciting period. We therefore need skilled and engaged colleagues who have a good service mindset and find it exciting to help build a new organization.

About the position

You will be one of the local representatives and contact persons for users at the Establishment- and Terrain Command. You will build up in-depth local knowledge of the establishments, which enables you to provide optimal property service.

Your concrete tasks include, among others

• Operations tasks
• Area maintenance tasks
• Waste management
• Simple maintenance of buildings and technical installations
• Repair of faults and deficiencies
• Relocations

You assist in the execution of goods receipt and control the performance of ordered operations and maintenance tasks.

You conduct supervision of the contractors’ performed works and participate in supervision, inspections and quality assurance.

About you

We imagine that you are trained property service technician, have experience in maintenance of buildings and technical installations, but also area maintenance.

You manage IT tools well, such as email systems, etc., and you express yourself well in Danish both in writing and speech. You are talkative, have a friendly approach, and can adapt to different situations.

As a person you are first and foremost a good colleague who values good collaboration with your colleagues and contributes to the community and is collaborative.

You can work independently and have a strong service orientation. You are also motivated and targeted in finding effective solutions to tasks.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license category B.

Employment conditions

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organizations. You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement between Cleaners, Sanitation Workers, special workers and certain vocationally educated etc. in the state (3F).

If you have a education as a property service technician, the base salary will be 28,911.92 per month. If you are unskilled, the base salary as a skilled worker will be 26,228.00 per month

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is room for negotiation of allowances. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Copenhagen.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence’s area you are subject to some special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

You as an employee have an obligation to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
