The Bridges & Tunnels department at Sweco solves tasks for bridge and tunnel clients across the country in all phases of the structures' lifecycle – from design and construction to operation, maintenance and renovation. Our strong team within bridge, tunnel and civil engineering is represented at Sweco offices in Copenhagen, Birkerød, Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg, Esbjerg and Silkeborg. Projects are solved in close collaboration across locations, ensuring a dynamic and knowledge-sharing workplace.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Discipline for our expanding bridge and tunnel department, where we work on exciting and multidisciplinary civil projects. As Head of Discipline in bridge design you will take a leading role in the team that includes technical leadership of the dimensioning group, development of design tools, review of design solutions, and on-the-job training of younger employees.

You will be part of a dedicated department with 70 employees spread across the country, looking forward to welcoming you. The position is located in Copenhagen or North Zealand, and regardless of which location you choose, you will be part of a daily environment characterized by sparring and idea exchange.

About the role

In this role you will have the opportunity to participate in bridge projects as senior statics engineer and head of discipline for bridges and structures, where you contribute your technical expertise. You will perform advanced calculations while taking on professional leadership. In addition, you will be responsible for driving the development of tools for integration of FEM and BIM, strengthening both processes and results in the projects.

• Participate in bridge projects as senior statics engineer and head of discipline for bridges and structures.
• Perform advanced calculations and FE models.
• Exercise professional leadership of the dimensioning group.
• Lead the development of tools for FEM/BIM integration.
• Contribute with professional stability, calm and quality on large and small projects.
