About the job

Do you want to make a difference for parents with challenges related to substances?

Substance Misuse Treatment Hørsholmsgade on Nørrebro is seeking an engaged colleague for our interdisciplinary team.

We are part of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, which consists of six treatment units in total that offer holistic treatment.

Substance Misuse Treatment Hørsholmsgade on Nørrebro is one of three units that carry out assessment and treatment of substance problems, most often involving cannabis, alcohol and central stimulants. All our treatment is voluntary and driven by the citizens' own desire for change.

At Substance Misuse Treatment Hørsholmsgade we have two teams with four employees each, who exclusively work with parents with substance misuse challenges.

Your tasks

The staff group is interdisciplinary, and we have many overlaps in daily task-solving. You will be attached to a fixed interdisciplinary team, which is the focal point throughout the citizen's treatment course. In the team you will jointly plan and implement a relevant treatment offer in collaboration with the individual citizen.

You will share responsibility for admitting clients with children who wish to make a change in relation to a substance misuse issue. A central part of your work will be to carry out the actual substance misuse treatment through individual therapeutic sessions with the enrolled client. At the same time we work family-oriented, so you will also conduct couple- and family conversations as well as conversations with other close relationships. In addition you will join our group program for parents.

This means that your tasks will span a wide range. On a typical workday with us you may encounter some of the following tasks: admit a new citizen, have an individual treatment talk, a couple- or family talk, manage our reception, participate in a networking meeting or be group leader in our group for parents.

What do we expect from our new colleague

We expect that you have a relevant basic education at bachelor level, e.g. as social worker, pedagogue or nurse. In addition, we would like you to have a relevant therapeutic continuing education and experience in applying therapeutic methods in conversations with citizens.

Experience from the substance area is an advantage but not a requirement. We value that you have experience with citizens in vulnerable positions, e.g. from municipal or regional services for youths, adults or families. We expect that you have experience with longer-term counseling processes and it would be good if you have also worked with group programs of an educational or therapeutic nature.

It is a clear advantage if you have experience with couples conversations, relatives work and/or group programs.

We expect you to actively contribute to professional reflection in daily life, share your perspectives on your own practice, and be curious about your colleagues' professional considerations. At the same time you must be able to adjust your approach when the task or the citizen's needs call for something else.

We place great emphasis on a good work environment and expect you to actively contribute to constructive cooperation, open dialogue and a collegial community. We protect our work environment and expect our new colleague to do the same.

As an employee with us you will get

  • thorough introduction and mentoring program in the team – what you cannot do, we will teach you
  • extensive responsibility in task solving
  • good colleagues at a development-oriented workplace, which you are invited to influence
  • a day with many diverse tasks and a large cross-disciplinary collaborative interface
  • external supervision

You will have attractive working hours, placed during daytime on weekdays. However, you are expected to work until 18:00 one day per week (Monday or Thursday). On the other hand you have Friday off at 13:00.

Employment terms

We wish the position filled by 1 December 2026, and preferably earlier if possible. The working time is 37 hours per week.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement for nurses and health visitors, etc., collective agreement for pedagogical staff, or collective agreement for social workers, social educators and/or HK collective agreement for administration and IT, and within the framework of local pay formation, but not under the academic collective agreement.

In connection with the employment we will obtain a criminal record check as well as references.
