Youth Worker Wanted for Holbæk Substance Abuse Center

You now have the opportunity to become part of our youth therapist team with employment from January 1, 2027.

You will join a team of four youth therapists in total, forming a self-managing team where you have substantial autonomy in planning your work.

The Youth Treatment Service offers free counseling, guidance and substance use treatment for young people aged 13 to 30 with alcohol and/or drug use/overuse under the Service Act §101 and the Health Act §141.

We work based on the MOVE and MOVE+ methods. MOVE is a structured treatment program within cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

The Youth Treatment Service is located at Kasernevej 6 in the town of Holbæk and is part of the Holbæk Addiction Center. In our center we help each other, and although we have our own tasks, we strive for joint task solving when required.

The working hours will be 37 hours per week with a long day on either Monday or Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm. We are closed on weekends and holidays.

The work in Youth Treatment consists of individual conversations, administrative tasks and interdisciplinary collaboration both internally and externally depending on the young person's situation.

We value participating in projects and development initiatives that benefit our work with young people. We prioritize professional supervision and collegial equality.

We receive ongoing supervision and there is an opportunity for continuing education, courses and the like.

We expect that

• You have a basic education in social or health care science, preferably with additional qualifications in systemic or cognitive therapy, MI or similar therapeutic approaches
• You have experience with therapeutic work and preferably experience with vulnerable groups
• You see written documentation as a natural part of the work and are interested in staying professionally oriented within our field
• You are clear about your own boundaries and can accommodate vulnerable young people with a curious and trust-building approach

Other information

The position is covered by local pay and is agreed with your union organization based on your professional background and qualifications. The application deadline is 11 November 2026.

A driving license is required. A child and criminal record check will be obtained.
