About the job

In Hørsholm Municipality we believe that children, young people and families succeed best when we meet them with curiosity, respect and belief in their own resources. Therefore we are seeking social workers/social mediators for our Children and Youth Team.

We are a team in development and growth and we want more time for each individual family. We actively work to create a case load that allows for close authority work, strong relationships and qualified professional assessments.

With us you become part of a team where we prioritise both high professionalism and a safe working environment. We believe that the best solutions are created through collaboration, professional discussions, sparring and a daily life with room for laughter.

Your role

You will become part of an engaged children- and youth team, where we work with early intervention and authority work under the Child Act.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Processing of notifications
  • Handling of urgent inquiries
  • Answering the team’s on-call phone
  • Conducting open anonymous counseling
  • Preparation of assessments and professional evaluations
  • Collaboration with children, young people, families and networks
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with schools, kindergartens, health visiting, PPR, SSP and other partners
  • Initiation and follow-up on relevant interventions

We operate from a fundamental belief that children, young people and families are experts in their own lives. Therefore we seek with them solutions that build on resources, hope and possibilities rather than limitations.

Who are you?

You are a trained social worker or social mediator and are motivated by authority work in the child and youth field.

Additionally we imagine that you

  • Have experience with or interest in working with notifications, assessments and acute problems
  • Can maintain calm and overview in complex situations
  • Are professionally well-founded and curious about your own practice
  • Thrive with interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Are relationally strong and can create trust with children, young people and families
  • Have an eye for resources and opportunities, even when the situation is difficult
  • Can translate professional assessments into action

It is an advantage if you have experience from the authority/child protection field, but we also welcome you if you are newly graduated and eager to develop in a strong professional community.

Who are we?

We are a children- and youth team with high professional ambitions and a strong sense of community.

With us you get

  • A workplace focused on professional quality and development
  • A good introduction program and close sparring
  • Dedicated colleagues who help each other
  • Leadership that prioritizes professionalism, well-being and accessibility
  • A case load where the ambition is to have time to be close to the children and families
  • A working environment characterized by psychological safety, humor and shared responsibility

We know that the work can be demanding. Therefore we value the sense of community highly. We believe that a strong collegial camaraderie, good laughter and honest professional discussions are decisive to create the best solutions for the children while maintaining job satisfaction.
