Financial Controller for PensionDanmark's real estate portfolio

Do you dream of a job with a lot of independence and significance for the financial management of one of Denmark's largest real estate portfolios, which includes established office properties, residential properties, and construction projects worth more than 30 bn? Then you may be our new Financial Controller. You understand the importance of correct financial management

As our new Financial Controller you will become part of PensionDanmark's Property Accounting team, which is responsible for the preparation of property accounts, including reconciliations, follow-up on budget deviations, and ongoing ad hoc tasks within property accounting.

Since property administration is outsourced, an important part of your task will be to ensure that our administrators deliver timely and correct accounting data, which forms the basis for our property accounts. You will also participate in the monthly review of ongoing construction with the project managers, just as you contribute to the preparation of property and construction reporting, including follow-up on VAT-related matters in collaboration with our tax department.

Your work will mean, among other things, that we always have an overview of whether the project economy holds, that we understand what any deviations are due to, and that we have all numbers ready for the reporting deadline.

In your daily work as Financial Controller you will collaborate widely across the organization with several departments; including Group Accounting, Tax, Legal & Compliance, Real Estate and Property Administrator. Therefore it is important that you thrive in a role with many stakeholders and are able to build good collaborative relationships through a professional and constructive approach.

We would really like to talk to you if ...

… you have solid accounting understanding and thrive in a complex and outward-facing everyday life. You have practical experience with accounting, for example as an auditor or Financial Controller. If you are more than normally proficient in Excel and other BI tools, that is also an advantage.

Additionally we would like you to

• Have strong analytical abilities and be motivated by creating overview and insight
• Thrive with both daily operational tasks and tasks that require extra deepening
• Have an interest in development and optimization of processes and workflows
• Have knowledge of Business Central 365
• Be able to manage administration of property companies

Having experience in preparing annual reports, including the Danish Financial Statements Act, is absolutely an advantage, but not a requirement.

If you have less experience you will be supported in finding the knowledge needed to solve the tasks in a good way. The most important thing is that you have a curious mindset, the will to learn, and a positive attitude, even when changes occur. As a person you are a good and social colleague who contributes positively to collaboration and the strong team spirit.
