About the job

We are looking for a prevention consultant who is passionate about working with seniors in Haderslev Municipality!

Health-promoting and preventive initiatives for the group of elderly citizens in Haderslev Municipality are prioritized. Health collaboration and Prevention therefore seek a new colleague who from January ’27 can join our team of skilled and dedicated employees who work with this target group.

The new Elderly Act obliges municipalities to offer preventive initiatives to elderly citizens, which we in the department currently define as +65 years. The target group comprises approximately 4,000 citizens in total each year. The purpose of the initiative is to ensure that elderly citizens in Haderslev Municipality live as healthy, meaningful, and self-reliant a life as possible, where they are part of social communities that give meaning and value in everyday life. The initiative is based on the overall strategy for the entire Senior, Social and Health area “Valuable Everyday” .

The initiative takes place as a structured conversation in the citizen's home across the municipality as a geographic area. The conversation starts from the broad concept of health, where we concretely work from the model of the “double hug.” Dialogue with the citizen about their network and supporting the citizen in joining positive communities in the local area is also an important part of the conversation.

Over the last 1½ years, we have implemented the stratification method “WIPP 360,” which supports a differentiated approach – including digital offerings for citizens.

Moving forward, it is expected that we initiate new initiatives that ensure the development of preventive measures for seniors. The most recently prioritized area is the establishment of senior training in the local environment for the group of seniors who cannot train in clubs or private settings.

The department handles a number of tasks where citizen- and patient-oriented health promotion and prevention are in focus. We collaborate and co-create with internal and external partners, including voluntary actors and associations, and in this way set the health promotion and prevention agenda broadly. Our new colleague will be part of a department characterized by high professionalism and engagement and by the fact that we are always attentive to developing our initiatives and collaboration around the citizen to strengthen him/her in living a healthy and meaningful life.

We are looking for a new colleague who

  • has a health-related education
  • has broad experience collaborating with elderly citizens and is passionate about this field
  • is enthusiastic about direct contact with citizens and sees themselves doing home visits for the majority of working hours
  • is interested in working with communities and networks in civil society around the elderly citizen
  • can act as a facilitator to support coordinated efforts around elderly citizens, including contacting relevant partners to strengthen a shared effort
  • is interested in contributing to the development of preventive measures for the elderly citizen +65 years – perhaps you can even see yourself conducting training with a group of seniors in their local environment
  • enjoys working individually but also sees the value of being part of a multidisciplinary team and contributes constructively and with engagement to the collaboration
  • likes a dynamic daily life where two days are rarely alike and where office time takes place at multiple sites
  • is prepared to work late afternoon/evening once a week if job tasks require it
  • can provide their own car for work hours. Travel allowance is paid according to applicable rules.

We offer our new colleague

  • to become part of a committed, multidisciplinary strong employee group that is passionate about their job
  • an inspiring and welcoming work environment where the tone is informal and positive
  • a job where days rarely look the same, and where there is a lot of direct citizen contact in everyday life
  • flexible working hours that still fall within Haderslev Municipality's primary opening hours
  • free health scheme for employees.
