About the job

Would you like to work with law where legislation meets practical control and case processing? And would you like to help ensure high legal quality and good progress in a complex and societally important area? Then you might be our new colleague in the pensions area in Fredericia.

Welcome to the pensions area

In the pensions area we work with taxation of pension arrangements under the Pension Taxation Act (PAL) and the Pension Tax Act (PBL). We check pension institutions' submissions and PAL tax, handle cases on pension taxation and advise citizens, companies and the pension industry. We are several units with different professional profiles, including lawyers, economists, actuaries and experienced tax case handlers. What we have in common is that we enjoy complex problems and solving an important task together.

Many of our cases raise legal questions, and we want to strengthen the legal competence close to the task execution. Therefore we are seeking a lawyer who will work very close to practice.

We are based in Port House in Fredericia, where we operate in newly built premises with a good canteen, ample parking and a beautiful view of the Little Belt. Here we meet across units for professional discussions and social events organized by the staff association.

Law close to practice

You will be employed in the Data Privacy Unit 12, but your role covers the entire pensions area. You will start by learning the core task through the control work. As you become familiar with the area, you will take on more legal tasks across units.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • participate in inspections including control visits at pension and financial institutions, and provide legal case presentation and decisions in the PAL and PBL areas
  • quality assure cases and decisions
  • provide legal sparring to colleagues across the pensions area and contribute to answers, guidance and legal clarifications, including in the PAL guidance function
  • discuss legal issues with pension institutions and industry associations
  • contribute, over time, to the development of legislation through public hearings and proposals for better guidance and rule simplification.

Legal sharpness and solution orientation

We envision that you hold a Master of Laws (cand.jur.) or another equivalent legal education, preferably with a couple of years of experience. Experience with tax law, administrative law or pension area is an advantage. Recent graduates can also be considered.

We emphasize that you

  • have a solid legal method and thrive with complex problems
  • are solution-oriented and ensure progress: You see opportunities within the framework, prioritize the essential and help bring the cases to a safe conclusion
  • write clearly and precisely in decisions, notes and guidance
  • are comfortable communicating and arguing for legal positions, also to the management level in the sector
  • collaborate well with colleagues with different professional backgrounds.

What you get with us

In the Tax Administration we place a strong emphasis on your personal and professional development. But it is also important that the ends align, so you will receive the following with us:

  • Flexible working conditions. The Ministry of Taxation and Growth emphasizes supporting flexible working conditions, and the framework for organizing work is discussed between the manager and the employee based on the overall task solution.
  • Good development opportunities. Both professionally and career-wise there are good development opportunities in the Tax Administration. Both managers and employees focus on mentoring, feedback and training, and through the Tax Administration's own career guidance there is an opportunity to get advice on how to take the next step in your career with us.
  • A good working environment. We focus on ensuring that each employee thrives at work, and therefore we place high value on well-being. This applies both to task planning and the social aspects, which are emphasized within units, across units and via our staff association. We have a friendly atmosphere in the unit, and we meet both before and after work in various social settings.

Contact and terms of employment

Submit your application, CV and diploma no later than 18 November 2026 via the link "Apply for the position". If you would like further information about the position, you are welcome to contact function manager Kasper Bastholm at telephone 72 37 38 67.

We expect to conduct the first round of interviews in week 48. A logical test and a personality profile analysis may be included in the recruitment process. Before appointment, a criminal record check and references will be obtained.

Starting on 1 February 2027 or by agreement.

You will be employed under the collective agreements applicable at any time for academics in the state (AC), for clerical workers (HK) or for Administrative and other staff (DTS) in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.

If you proceed to employment in the recruitment process, please note that we conduct a check to see if you have debt that has been sent for collection by the public sector. We also check whether you have resolved control and/or criminal cases in the tax and duties area. Your employment is subject to us not finding information about you that is incompatible with employment in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth group.

You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with its associated institutions. Your workplace is Vendersgade 74, 7000 Fredericia.
