About the job

As a foreman at Arkil in Silkeborg, you will have a central and responsible role. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated foreman who is fully project-managing and not a working foreman. You will be responsible for driving and managing large civil projects, typically valued at over 5 million kroner. The projects range from road projects, road widening, noise-screen installations, and especially larger civil projects primarily in main contracts. Geographically, the projects will typically be in and around Central/West Jutland, but you should expect that there may also be work anywhere in the country.

Your primary tasks will include

• Daily management, control, and progress of larger civil projects.
• Motivating and leading the hourly-paid workers in your team to ensure well-being and effective collaboration.
• Close cooperation with suppliers and responsibility for daily planning.
• Participation in bidding, including reading drawings and optimizing cases.
• Assembly and staffing of the right team for each project.
• Daily client dialogue and participation in construction meetings.

About you

You come with solid experience as a foreman and have tested your leadership skills with a strong understanding of the practical work on the ground. Your most important professional ballast is a strong background in large civil projects, where you have led major civil projects. Knowledge of urban sewerage is an advantage, but it is the heavy earth- and civil works that are central to the role.
