About the job

Can you create professional direction and followership in a daily life where residents' needs are complex, and where good leadership should be felt both among staff and residents?

At Sirius Eskebjerg and Sirius Assensvej we are seeking a professionally strong and present daily manager who can lead two specialized care homes.

You will have a leadership role with responsibility for both people, professional quality and operations. At the same time you will have an important role in the continued development of the offerings, including the growth at Sirius Assensvej.

Your role as daily manager

As daily manager you have the overall responsibility for Sirius Eskebjerg and Sirius Assensvej. Eskebjerg has room for nine residents and is located in scenic surroundings on Funen, while Assensvej is a newer and smaller offering with space for two residents. Assensvej is expected to grow, and as the development progresses it is planned to hire a team leader who can support you in daily operations.

You lead a multidisciplinary staff group that covers the whole day and includes among others a coordinator, social work and health care staff. Therefore staff leadership, professional leadership and daily operations are closely linked in your role.

We want a leader who is close to practice and knows what moves among staff and residents. At the same time you lead at two addresses and cannot be physically present at both places every day. An important part of the task will be to find the right balance between hands-on leadership and leadership from distance. It requires that you can build trust and clarity, even when you are not physically present, and can assess when there is a need for you to come closer.

You will among other things be responsible for

  • Develop the employees and create followership in everyday life.
  • Ensure quality in the social-therapeutic effort, documentation and collaboration around each resident.
  • Follow up on operations, workflows and staff well-being.
  • Collaborate with relatives, municipalities, supervisory authorities and other partners.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the two offerings.

You are not alone with the task. You work closely with the coordinator, area manager and the other leadership in Sirius. The overall duty planning is handled centrally in The Social Therapeutic Organization.

We are looking for a leader who knows complex practice

Residents may have autism, intellectual disability, combined diagnoses, sensory vulnerability, needs for shielding and behavior that can be challenging.

Therefore it is important that you have management experience from a care home, psychiatry or another relevant specialized area. You must know the reality in which staff operate, and be able to use your experience to qualify their work.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant social or health care education and preferably a leadership education at diploma level or are in the process of obtaining one.
  • Have experience with personnel leadership within an area with complex citizen pathways.
  • Can involve staff and bring different professionalities into play without losing your own leadership responsibility.
  • Are conscious of your leadership and can adapt it to different staff, situations and needs.
  • Work systematically and can translate professional and organizational goals into a well-functioning daily life

The Social Therapeutic Organization

Sirius is part of The Social Therapeutic Organization, which runs specialized care homes, welfare homes and crisis centers.

Our work is built on the values of respect, inclusion, well-being, community and professionalism and on a view of humanity where everyone has the right to a meaningful life and to be met with respect, regardless of prerequisites and challenges.

As a leader you have a special task to translate our values and view of people into practice. It should be felt in the meeting with residents, in the professional approach and in the way we lead and collaborate.

You will become part of a leadership group with close sparring and short decision paths. We offer opportunities for professional development, further education and supervision as well as good employment terms, health insurance and social events.
