Crafts and Design Teacher at Møllebakkeskolen

Are you a creative person and do you have both feet firmly planted on the ground, then we may have the job for you as Møllebakkeskolen's new craft & design teacher. The position is a permanent position with start on 1 January 2027

Møllebakkeskolen is seeking a trained teacher with a major subject or major subject competence in craft & design. The position is initially 32 hours and it is therefore possible that it can be planned with a weekly timetable-free day. If you do not already have machine course, you should be ready to take it as part of your professional development.

You will also have tasks that we call PLF hours. In addition you will participate in the upcoming subject distribution for the new school year, so we can put you and your competences as much in play as all other teachers at the school.

Møllebakkeskolen is a small public school in Guldborgsund Municipality, which historically is an old central school - originally a village school for the catchment area that today makes up Falster's Heart. We are located in Horreby, about 10 km from Nykøbing, with good accessibility by public transport. We host about 210 pupils in 0.-9. grade in general education, of which about 115 are attached to the school’s SFO.

In addition Møllebakkeskolen also houses Møllehuset, which is a school treatment offering for pupils in 0.-9. grade. We employ daily more than 40 staff and leaders, who ensure the best possible execution of our shared core task.

At Møllebakkeskolen there is a focus on the values fællesskab, styrke og nysgerrighed, which form the basis for how we think about school and the way we are together – both in meeting our pupils, parents and each other. Around the school there is a varied nature with many opportunities for inclusion in daily life. Everyday life carries with openness, community and engagement on the part of the pupils and ourselves.

Our pedagogical work rests on a clear pedagogical foundation with a focus on classroom management, relationship-building and good didactics. We work closely in teams and have a particular focus on creating as much psychological safety as possible for all staff. You will be attached to one of the school’s fixed teams, depending on where you will have the most lessons, and thus you will become part of a close, strong and professional team collaboration.

The school has an active board, which shows genuine curiosity and courage to challenge the school's framework and ambitions, together with the school staff and other parents.

The position’s key tasks

You must be prepared to take on the responsibility for our craft & design teaching at the middle school level, as well as our elective groups for years 7 and 8, where year 8 will take a test.

• You are a trained teacher or in the process of completing your education, with a particular focus on craft & design
• Have a good command of classroom management, relationship-building and have a focus on good didactics
• Are person-facing and listening
• Have courage for challenges – academically as well as personally
