About the job

Would you like to help create a school for as many children as possible?

At Trekløverskolen, Græse Bakkeby division, we are seeking a trained teacher for the primary years and the middle grades who wishes to be part of a school where community, academic standards and opportunities to participate for all children are central.

We work from an ambition to be a school for as many children as possible. For us, this means that we are continually curious about how we can develop the teaching, the learning environments and the communities so that more children feel they belong, participate and succeed.

It requires something from us as professionals. We must dare to be curious about our own practice, think flexibly and find solutions together. You should be eager to be part of this.

What will you teach?

We are first and foremost looking for the right colleague, and therefore we will, as far as possible, design the position with a basis in your academic qualifications, competencies and interests.

In time we see you as a Danish teacher in the primary years or in the middle grades, but the concrete mix of subjects and tasks we will determine together. For us, the most important thing is that you are a skilled and engaged teacher who wants to contribute to our shared ambition of creating a school for as many children as possible.

Please tell us what you are especially good at, what you are passionate about, and what you would like to bring into play with us.

With us you will become part of

  • An department of Trekløverskolen with about 220 students from 0th to 6th grade.
  • An engaged colleague community where we solve the task together.
  • A school with co-teaching and joint preparation as important elements in our practice.
  • Professional learning communities where we investigate and develop the teaching together.
  • A school where we work purposefully to create strong academic and social communities with room for different ways of being a child and a student.
  • Opportunities for professional development and further education.
  • Flexibility in schedule and tasks so that your strengths, interests and qualifications can be brought into play in the best possible way.
  • A scenic location close to Frederikssund and colleagues who are both academically ambitious and focused on creating a good workplace.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a trained teacher and wants to make a difference for children.
  • Is academically ambitious and committed to good teaching.
  • Has clear, calm and relationship-building classroom management.
  • Sees children’s participation as a shared professional responsibility.
  • Is curious about what lies behind a child’s actions, and what we as adults can do differently when something becomes difficult.
  • Has an eye for both the individual child and the community.
  • Can stand by your professional judgment and be willing to examine and develop your own practice.
  • Sees teamwork, co-teaching and joint preparation as a strength.
  • Wants to help develop learning environments so that more children have the opportunity to succeed in them.

And perhaps the most important...

You do not need to have all the answers.

But you should be willing to ask the questions together with us.

When a child has difficulty participating, we are focused on investigating what the child calls for, what the community needs, and what we adults can change in the framework and our practice.

We believe that difference is a condition in the school, and that good solutions are created together. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who will both contribute with their professional knowledge and be curious about others'.

If you can see yourself in the ambition to create a school for as many children as possible, we would love to hear from you.
