Head of Department (DPL) for Sct. Severin Children's Homes, Havanna Department

Then you now have the opportunity to become department head in Havanna, which is a department in Sct. Severin Børnehuse.

Havanna is an integrated department with 68 children distributed among 20 toddlers and 48 preschoolers. As department head you will be responsible for the professional, personnel and administrative leadership of the department, where professional leadership and the development of pedagogical practice is a central part of the task.

You will become part of an experienced and well-functioning management team, where we collaborate closely on the joint development of Sct. Severin Børnehuse.

Sct. Severin Børnehuse consists of four departments with a total of 294 children

• Ejsbølhus: 63 children (3-6 years)
• Havanna: 68 children (0-6 years)
• Molevitten: 100 children (0-6 years)
• Sukkertoppen: 63 children (0-6 years)

We expect that you

• are a trained pedagogist
• have the will and interest for leadership
• preferably have leadership experience, but this is not a requirement
• preferably have a relevant leadership education, but this is not a prerequisite
• can create followership through clear communication, involvement and appreciative leadership
• can work structured and maintain overview in everyday life with many different tasks
• have an eye for both employees' well-being and the professional quality in the core task
• see the value in collaboration across departments and professional areas.

Your main tasks

• professional leadership and development of the pedagogical practice
• personnel management, including well-being, sparring and competence development
• administrative leadership and daily operation of the department
• collaboration with parents, partners and the rest of the leadership team
• contribute to the continued development of Sct. Severin Børnehuse as a single institution.

Salary and employment terms

The position is desired to be filled on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is remunerated in accordance with the applicable agreement between KL and the relevant professional organization. The expected starting salary is in the range of 41,000 DKK - 47,000 DKK plus pension. The final placement in the range is based on objective criteria such as relevant education and documented professional experience.
