Job Description

Do you have strong professional depth, a sharp commercial eye and the desire to create results through people? Then you may be our new department manager for Rambøll's MEP department in Roskilde.

Your new role

As department manager you will be responsible for Rambøll's MEP department in Roskilde – a centrally located office just a five-minute walk from the station. Here you will be part of a strong local construction environment with two departments, KON and MEP, where around 40 construction professionals, engineers, installers, constructors, project managers and assistants work closely together to create value for our clients. The office is characterized by a strong sense of togetherness, high professionalism and a culture where we help each other and share knowledge across teams.

We work with both new buildings, renovations and transformation projects. The order book is strong, and the projects range widely – from housing, schools and shopping centres to office and commercial buildings. We have among other things been involved in Knud Højgaards House in Copenhagen, where an Art Deco building from the 1950s has been completely renovated. In addition, we help the Capital Region of Denmark and a number of municipalities on Zealand convert old gas boilers to district heating and heat pumps.

Rambøll works purposefully to accelerate the green transition in construction, and as department manager you are expected to take an active part in this agenda and help drive it forward.

You will be responsible for setting the direction for the department and creating the best conditions for employees, customers and the business. This means, among other things, that you should:

• Lead, inspire and develop employees through engaging, inclusive and clearly visible leadership.
• Drive business development, sales efforts and bid work with a focus on profitable growth.
• Ensure a healthy business and support project deliveries of high quality in close collaboration with project managers and subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with leaders and colleagues across Rambøll to ensure strong solutions, knowledge sharing and good resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and strengthen Rambøll's position in the market.
• Recruit new employees who strengthen the department's competencies, capacity and development.

Your competencies

We imagine that you recognize yourself in several of the following points

• You have several years of experience in a leading role in the consulting and/or contracting industry and documented experience in leading employees and delivering results.
• You have a strong installation-technical profile in either HVAC or electrical and a solid understanding of the MEP field's complexity and its interplay with other disciplines.
• You have experience with strategy, budgeting and performance management and can translate strategic goals into concrete actions and results.
• You are commercially grounded and have experience with business development, sales activities as well as development and implementation of business plans with a focus on profitable growth.
• You have a natural focus on leadership, well-being and development and can create frameworks for knowledge sharing, collaboration and high professional standards in the department.
