Head of Department sought for new §108 department in South Zealand

We are establishing a new §108 department in Sydsjælland for three citizens with significant cognitive disabilities and a need for extensive support in a 2:1 framework.

Therefore we are seeking a department head who will lead the building of the department and help create an offering characterized by high professionalism, clear structure and strong relationships.

You will have a central role in establishing the department's culture, bringing the team together and ensuring a professional environment where both citizens and staff can thrive and develop.

About the task

As department head you will be responsible for the daily operation, personnel management and professional development of the department.

You will be responsible for recruiting and developing staff, implementing professional methods and ensuring that the department's efforts always take as their starting point the citizens' needs, wellbeing and development opportunities.

You must be able to balance hands-on leadership and the administrative tasks that come with running a specialized offering.

Your main tasks will be to

• build and develop the new department
• ensure high professional quality in the work with the citizens
• create a strong staff culture characterized by accountability, reflection and collaboration
• support employees' professional development through sparring and feedback
• ensure systematic documentation and follow-up on goals and actions
• collaboration with relatives, municipalities and other partners
• contribute to the ongoing development of Samala's overall offerings

• has experience in personnel management and has started or completed a diploma in leadership
• has experience from the social sector and working with citizens with extensive support needs
