Department Head for Socialcode STU Roskilde

Do you want to lead a new department and be involved in shaping it yourself? Socialcode STU Roskilde is our newest department. We have just moved into newly furnished premises in Trekroner, and now we need a leader who will build the department up together with us.

The job

You will have daily responsibility for the department with students aged 16 to 25 and a team of 2 staff. The department is growing during the school year, and you will help set the team. You report to the principal and join the management team with the department heads in Copenhagen and Hillerød.

Your tasks

• Daily personnel management with sparring, wellbeing and professional direction
• Quality in the students' progression, so the progression plans are followed up and used
• Collaboration with UU-guides, case workers and parents in Roskilde and surroundings
• Hiring of new staff as the department grows
• Development of the department and new initiatives together with the principal

Who are you?

You must

• Have experience with young people with special needs, e.g. from STU, special education, guidance or social work
• Have management experience or have had real personnel or coordinator responsibility
• Be able to work systematically with documentation and quality

Your background could be teacher, pedagogue, social worker, educational counselor or something entirely different. The important thing is that you know the target group and can lead people.

It is an advantage if you are familiar with narrative or systems approaches.

About Socialcode

Socialcode is an STU program for calm young people with autism who are interested in IT and digital media. We teach programming, IT technology and graphic design and train the young people to become independent adults. The classes are small, typically max 8 students, and we have a simple principle: The surroundings must fit the young person, never the other way around.

Conditions

• Full-time, 37 hours
• Salary according to qualifications
• Commencement as soon as possible or by agreement
