DESIGN STUDIO LEADER FOR FLEX MODUL A/S

Do you want to lead the design studio at one of the leading manufacturers of modern and sustainable modular construction and ensure that projects are translated into a well-developed and efficient production basis?

FLEX MODUL A/S in Vinderup is seeking a design studio leader who can combine people management with a strong building technology understanding, good planning abilities and a high quality focus.

You will have a central role in the company and become the link between the design studio, the project department, the quality function, external consultants and production.

The position reports directly to the company CEO.

THE ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK TASKS

As design studio leader you will have overall responsibility for the design studio and the daily management of the company's project designers.

You ensure that the drawing work is performed on time in relation to the production plan, and you follow the company's standards and procedures for quality as required by production and the individual construction projects.

An important part of the role will be to create structure, prioritize the studio's resources and ensure an efficient flow from project material to production-ready drawings. At the same time you will develop the employees and contribute to a professional, efficient and developing working environment.

Your primary areas of responsibility will include, among others, to

• Manage the daily leadership and personnel management of the design studio
• Plan, prioritize and allocate the design studio's tasks and resources
• Ensure that the drawing work follows the production plan and is delivered on time
• Control and optimize the time consumption within the defined framework
• Ensure the quality of the production basis before the material is released to production
• Ensure that the drawing material is correct, complete and usable for production
• Reduce errors, omissions and unnecessary back-and-forth between design studio and production
• Ensure that the company's standards, processes and procedures are followed
• Conduct performance reviews (MUS), salary negotiations and other personnel management tasks
• Support professional development, sparring and competence building in the design studio
• Continuously work on improving and optimizing the design studio's processes
• Collaborate closely with the project manager on timely and complete delivery of project material
• Coordinate with the quality department, advisers and production on standards, guidelines and regulations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We expect that you have a building technology education, e.g. as a construction engineer, engineer, architect or similar. You have experience with project planning and the development or quality assurance of technical drawing material, preferably from modular construction, timber construction, element construction or other industrialized building production.

You have either leadership experience or a clear desire to move into a leadership role. The key is that you can set direction, create structure and followership, while having the necessary professional understanding to spar with designers, project managers, advisers and production.

• Have solid experience with project planning and technical drawing material
• Understand the link between project planning, quality and production
• Can plan and prioritize resources in a project-oriented everyday life
• Work in a structured way and follow through tasks to the end
• Have an eye for quality, details and the usefulness of the drawing material
• Can handle several projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Communicate clearly and constructively across disciplines
• Are development-oriented and motivated by improving processes and workflows
• Thrive with both managerial, coordinating and professional tasks
• Have experience with relevant CAD or BIM tools. Experience with Revit is an advantage.
