About the job

Are you passionate about rehabilitation, and would you lead this important area that really makes a difference for citizens and where you have the opportunity to leave your mark on the training of the future?

You will play a central role in a development where coherent citizen pathways, professionalism and perceptive leadership are in focus. From January 1, 2027, Training will become part of a new department with home care, nursing clinics and training. See the new organization in Training here.

As the head of Training you will be responsible for a well-functioning team with 30 employees distributed across three sites with specialties in neurology, orthopedic surgery and geriatric medicine, fee-for-service physiotherapy for adults/children, coordination and administration as well as parts of the field-based function.

Who is Training?

Training is a department that has many touchpoints and collaboration with departments throughout Haderslev Municipality and civil society. We handle annually about 3,000 pathways under the Health Act §140 and §140a, the Social Services Act §86.1 and §86.2, as well as the Elderly Act §10.

Professionalism is at the forefront. You will meet an engaged workforce that is focused on professional development, task solving with high quality and digitally supported training, which together help create value for citizens.

You will quickly feel that we have worked purposefully to create a good and present work environment, where we value professional sparring and good conversations across our sites. We invite you into a strong community that all employees appreciate with witty remarks and twinkles in the eye.

What you will be part of

You will join a leadership team where you will meet both newly hired district leaders and a group of leaders with thorough knowledge of our organization. Together you will develop your leadership team with all that implies in terms of cooperation, sparring, good laughs, shared development tasks, and support for each other when something is difficult – all to ensure our citizens get the best possible training and holistic care .

Throughout the Social and Health Administration we work according to a common approach: Valuable Everyday . You will therefore also have the opportunity to contribute to solutions on how we promote prevention and early intervention, strengthen cooperation with the citizen's close environment and civil society, use digital solutions to give the citizen as much freedom and flexibility as possible, and ensure even better overall coherence in each citizen's pathway.

About you

We expect you to be educated as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist and have experience from the rehabilitation field. You have been a leader for some years and have a leadership education at diploma level – otherwise we expect you to wish to commence such within 2 years.

We emphasize that you

  • are a perceptive leader for your employees, have an eye for employee well-being and can create following
  • can ensure high professional quality in a holistic effort focusing on the citizen's needs
  • can create structure in a busy everyday life with many different tasks
  • are passionate about developing the rehabilitation area and support a culture where people learn and develop together
  • have an eye for digital rehabilitation and work towards 1/3 of pathways being predominantly digital in 2028
  • can collaborate across departments, administrations and sectors
  • have good understanding of interfaces to other departments such as Authority and the labor market sector
  • can switch between operations and development tasks with a steady hand
  • can work with financial management and prioritization
  • are able to translate and implement political decisions into concrete everyday actions – both for yourself and your employees
  • involve employees, use the leadership team and include the citizens, their close network and local environment as part of the solution.

This means you are good at building relationships, you meet people with respect and curiosity, and you focus on ensuring that what you do works.

Terms of employment

The position is a permanent 37-hour position.

Starting January 1, 2027

To ensure full transparency, we note that the position's salary frame lies in the range of DKK 41,700 - 52,000 per month plus pension. If you are a new leader, you will typically be expected to start at the lower end of the range. If you have solid leadership experience, this will be reflected in the upper part of the range. The precise placement within the range will depend on a concrete, objective assessment of your experience, education and relevant competencies.
