Team Leader for Geotechnics at Banedanmark

Are you motivated by developing employees, creating clear frameworks and ensuring high quality in geotechnical deliverables?

With us you get a leadership role close to both people and technology, where you have personnel responsibility for a team of specialists and become part of the management team together with the section head, the head of discipline and two other team leaders. You therefore gain influence over the team’s everyday life and how geotechnical deliverables support Banedanmark’s construction and renewal projects.

You do not need to be a geotechnical specialist yourself, but you must be able to understand complex issues, set direction in daily work and ensure that the team delivers in Banedanmark’s construction and renewal projects.

Your tasks

As team leader you create the framework for the team to solve complex tasks with high professionalism and good coordination. It is a role with both daily management and close connection to the geotechnical deliverables. Your tasks will include among others:

• leading the team’s specialists in their daily work with a focus on well-being, professional development, prioritization and ongoing follow-up
• planning and prioritizing tasks, resources and capacity so geotechnical investigations, borehole programs, calculations and technical drawings are carried out with the agreed quality
• following the team’s deliverables to construction and renewal projects and ensuring progress, quality and safety in collaboration with projects and colleagues across departments
• getting to know complex professional issues, asking relevant questions about geotechnical choices and ensuring that the right professional resources are used in the task
• contributing in the leadership team to develop Geotechnics, improve cross‑functional collaboration and translate decisions into concrete workflows in the section.

Your qualifications

We look for qualifications that match both the managerial and technical parts of the role. You can come with or without formal management experience, but you must be ready to take on management responsibility in a technical everyday life. We would like you to:

• have a relevant technical education or equivalent technical experience, so you can understand the team’s field of work and tasks
• be able to lead employees with clear expectations, prioritization and follow-up in daily task solving
• be able to plan tasks, resources and capacity so several deliverables can be completed with progress, quality and safety
• be able to understand complex technical issues and ask qualified questions about professional assessments and choices
• have experience with cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management in technical environments, so decisions can be translated into concrete tasks and follow-up in the team

Salary and employment terms

As an academic officer you are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state sector.

Placement is as Chief Consultant with personnel management according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Labour Market’s salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competences there is potential for negotiation of allowances. The total salary includes an employer-funded pension scheme of 18.07%.

For HK, the appointment is according to the applicable Fællesoverenskomst between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The State Sector (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten) and the organizational agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff.

The position is placed in salary grade 4 according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Labour Market’s salary overview, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competences there is potential for negotiation of allowances. The total salary includes an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
