About the job

Are you a nurse – perhaps a development nurse with a social science background? Do you want to create development together with more than 600 employees in the specialised social field?

When a department is to prepare for a health care inspection, you are ready with qualified sparring. When new workflows must find their way out to more than 30 departments, you get leaders and employees to see the meaning and adopt them. And when data show new patterns, you make that knowledge applicable in practice.

This is the scope of your job as a health care professional project manager in The Social Development Fund.

We are a nationwide organisation with residential facilities and social interventions. We are looking for a project manager who can set direction, work analytically and create followership as we strengthen the health care professional effort and the documentation work in our more than 30 departments.

The position is full-time with expected start 1 December 2026.

You will make health care work in practice

You will become a central professional sparring partner for leaders and staff in our departments across the country. Here you will help translate health care professional knowledge into a practice that makes sense in social-professional work and in the everyday life of the individual.

Among other things, this means that you shall

  • advise the departments on health care professional issues
  • update and maintain our health care professional instructions
  • teach medication handling and medication pedagogy
  • facilitate the network for the departments' medication and health care responsible persons and contribute to their competence development
  • help the departments prepare for risk-based inspections
  • ensure that experiences from, among other things, adverse events are translated into learning and better practice.

Documentation must create value

In The Social Development Fund, documentation creates value. It helps the individual person follow their own development, gives staff and leaders knowledge to adjust the effort and makes us wiser about the quality of our work.

You should therefore like to dive into data. But you should be just as concerned with what happens when the results come back to the departments.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • facilitate development processes where data is translated into quality and methodological development
  • work with large data sets and convey results clearly to both internal and external audiences
  • collaborate with our documentation super users, stakeholder group and external analytic partners on progression measurements, wellbeing surveys and analyses
  • ensure that results and new knowledge are discussed and used in professional development

Our documentation platform is Sensum One. It would be a big plus if you already know the system inside out. Otherwise we expect that you have a flair for documentation systems. We also use Cognos for data visualization and reporting.

You must be able to get others on board

One of your most important tasks will be to make the work with health care and documentation relevant, understandable and usable for those who must carry it out in practice. It requires that you are curious about everyday life in the departments, can listen and adjust and at the same time maintain the professional direction.

We imagine that …

you are a trained nurse and have experience from the specialised social field, psychiatry or another area where health care has to function in a complex interdisciplinary practice. Perhaps you currently work as a development nurse, health care consultant or project manager.

We also place emphasis on you

  • have strong analytical skills and are familiar with working with data
  • have experience with project management or with driving development processes
  • can convey complicated knowledge and teach different professional target groups
  • know the conditions in the specialised social field
  • work independently and easily get into digital documentation systems

It would be an advantage if you have an academic qualification such as sociology, public health science or another relevant social science field. The crucial thing is that you can combine your health care background with a solid analytical view and an understanding of organizational development.

As a person you are curious, persistent and good at building trust. You can stand firm on your professional stance without having all the answers in advance, and you thrive on developing solutions together with the people who will use them.

Your workplace is all over the country

Our headquarters are in Odense. You will become part of the shared administration and will here have a close collegial community. We are also in the middle of a new organisation, where we strengthen management with four new medical chiefs, with whom you will have a close collaboration.

But a substantial part of your work also takes place in our departments. Where in the country you live is therefore less decisive. The important thing is that you have the opportunity and desire to travel a lot and be present where daily life and development take place. You should on average expect two working days per week at the headquarters in Odense. It is a prerequisite that you have a car and driving license.

You will get

We offer attractive employment terms, where you have good opportunities for professional development. With the job you get:

  • ongoing relevant further education
  • supervision
  • a cross-disciplinary competent community where we support and help each other to continue developing social-pedagogical solutions for people with complex challenges

Tell us how you will create followership

In your application we would like you to tell about your relevant experiences and give your view on how you will achieve followership among leaders and staff when new workflows or professional initiatives must find their way into a busy daily life.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact regional director Margrethe Langer at phone 30 84 45 05 or [email protected].

Application deadline: 21 October

First interview: 26.10.26 in Odense

Second interview: 28.10.26 in Copenhagen

We look forward to hearing from you.
