About the job

Would you like to use your healthcare knowledge in working with people with mental and physical challenges? And are you motivated by a varied daily life where you get responsibility, professional sparring and opportunities to develop? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for at Rønnebo in Brønshøj.

At Botilbuddet Rønnebo we are looking for engaged social and health care assistants for positions as contact persons. We also welcome you if you are a nurse and would like to work in a contact person role.

What do you get with us?

  • A complex and meaningful daily life where you use your full professional capacity
  • Responsibility for holistic assessments and interventions that combine psychiatry, somatics, medication management and pedagogy
  • A strong interdisciplinary team with a focus on professional sparring and collaboration
  • Opportunities for professional development and specialization within social psychiatry
  • Thorough introduction and the necessary training if you are new to some of the tasks

About Rønnebo and the residents

Rønnebo is a long-term residential care facility under the Social Services Act § 108 with 64 residents who live with mental disorders such as schizophrenia, severe affective disorders, recurrent psychoses, anxiety and depression. Some residents also have active substance use and social challenges, while others have somatic illnesses or physical disabilities.

The residents live in their own apartments, and everyday life includes both community, activities and support for the individual. It can range from shared meals and excursions to help with practical tasks and personal care.

We work recovery-oriented and rehabilitative with the starting point in each resident’s wishes, resources and goals. Some residents may occasionally exhibit mild outwardly directed behavior, but Rønnebo is not a facility for citizens with pronounced outwardly directed behavior.

Your role as contact person

As a contact person you take on a special responsibility for three to four residents. Together with the residents and your colleagues you work on their individual goals and health needs.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

  • handle medication management and observe as well as respond to the residents’ mental and physical state
  • support residents in personal care, social activities and practical tasks
  • follow up on health needs in collaboration with doctors, nurses and other colleagues
  • document observations, interventions and results
  • apply methods such as Low Arousal 2, social skills training and recovery-oriented approaches

You will become an important part of the interdisciplinary collaboration where healthcare and pedagogical interventions go hand in hand. The residents can have complex issues, and you will have the opportunity to apply your professional skills in a daily life where psychiatry, somatics and relational work are closely linked.

Meet your future colleagues

Gitte highlights the good opportunities for professional development: If you are passionate about developing your professional skills, we are the right place for you, as we have a strong focus on professional development including teaching and courses.

Camilla, who is a social and health care assistant at Rønnebo, talks about the importance of sparring and ongoing learning: There is always an opportunity for sparring with health care colleagues as well as our nurse at Rønnebo. And we are so lucky to be offered courses regularly both in-house and from outside. There is never a day that is the same, and this makes the work as a health care professional educational, super exciting and, not least, incredibly rewarding.

A strong professional community

You will become part of an interdisciplinary team with around 36 colleagues with both social and health care backgrounds. We use each other’s professional expertise and help each other find good solutions for the residents.

Management is visible in everyday life and focuses on both employees’ well-being and residents’ needs. We prioritize a good working environment and a balance between work and leisure. When you start with us, you will receive a thorough introduction and a mentor who helps you get well into the tasks.

We imagine that you

  • are educated as a social and health care assistant or nurse
  • have experience from social psychiatry, a residential facility or similar – or want to develop yourself in the field
  • are professionally curious and interested in both psychiatric and somatic issues
  • are good at creating relationships and meet residents with patience, respect and recognition
  • enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration

Employment terms

The positions are 37 hours per week with rotating day, evening and weekend shifts. You work a weekend shift every third weekend.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement for social and health personnel or the collective agreement for nurses, etc., as well as the principles of local pay formation.

We wish to fill the positions on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible. In connection with the recruitment, we will obtain a criminal record certificate and references.
