Qualified educator sought for the Group Program at Engholmskolen

Engholmskolen in Allerød Municipality seeks a trained pedagogue with special school experience for our group arrangement's upper school group.

The position is 37 hours per week - with employment from December 1st or preferably earlier. Working hours are during school time in the time frame between 7:00-17:00

About the Group Arrangement

The Group Arrangement currently has 50 children/young people distributed across the early years, middle years and upper years.

The target group is normally gifted children with challenges in social interaction, contact, communication and imagination. The offering has an autism-friendly approach and the staff also have extensive knowledge about comorbidity, mentalization-based pedagogy, TEACCH and low arousal.

The children need clear, present and stable adults who can create structure, calm and good opportunities for participation - throughout the day.

You will become part of an engaged team consisting of skilled teachers, pedagogues and classroom aides. Our common driving force is high professionalism and a sustained focus on the children's well-being, learning and development. At the same time, we look forward to the inspiration and perspectives that new colleagues bring with them.

About the position

We are seeking a positive, energetic and responsible pedagogue who wants to actively participate in both teaching and breaks.

In daily work you will among other things

• Develop the children in teaching and in the social communities
• Participate actively in play, movement and creative activities
• Help create structure, predictability and calm transitions
• Assist the children in understanding and handling social situations
• Collaborate closely with teachers, pedagogues and other colleagues
• Meet the children with recognition, curiosity and professionalism
• Be able to maintain calm and overview, even when strong emotions are at play.
