Hjortholm is seeking a social pedagogue for our youth house Sprogø starting 1 January 2027 or earlier.

At Sprogø there are currently 8 children aged 11-16, and everyday life is characterized by safety, recognisability and creating a home with care and presence.

Hjortholm as a workplace

Hjortholm is a children’s and youth home with an internal special education offering, located in Fuglebjerg between Næstved and Slagelse. The nature and our green surroundings form the framework for our activities with the children all year round. We base our approach on the children’s and families’ potentials, with the attitude - that everyone does their best and that everyone can learn.

The pedagogical practice is based on an appreciative approach with a tailored pedagogy as a method. Pedagogues, teachers and management collaborate, spar and develop together, in a community-oriented environment characterized by trust, responsibility and plenty of room to move.

The task and you as a colleague

You help ensure the children’s well-being and development. You work to strengthen the children’s competencies, create well-being, a safe attachment, relationships and a sense of community where the children develop socially, emotionally and academically.

You are professionally well-founded and can apply pedagogy in the children’s daily life – with curiosity and engagement. In addition to professionalism, Hjortholm focuses on delivering good documentation to support our efforts for the children.

As colleagues we are aligned in the team, so that we collectively help create development for the children through a daily life characterized by structure, recognisability, care and presence.

We arrive at work with calm, overview and emotional resilience, and guide the children in their emotional expression, attachment and reactions. The pedagogical framework is part of the work, while we support the children in rediscovering, maintaining and developing the relationship to each other, to their familial origin, as well as all new children and adults on their way.

The position includes rotating shifts and weekend work, every other weekend.

Work on Sundays and holidays should be expected.

Working hours are both day and in the period 14.00-22.00.

In addition, there are team meetings of 5 hours every other week.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with SL, as well as internal pay policy.
