About the job
Would you like to help make a difference in information security and thus help ensure that the Assessment Authority stands strong in a time where security, resilience and emergency preparedness are more important than ever? Then you might be one of our new colleagues in Security and Emergency Readiness.
We are looking for a colleague who has experience with information security and its implementation in a government organization, and who would like to work with advising and developing information security in the Tax Administration. You don’t need to know everything; it’s important that you have extensive knowledge of the area and are keen to ensure compliance within the information security domain.
About the Assessment Authority
The Assessment Authority must ensure accurate property valuations and correct property taxation of all properties in Denmark. The Assessment Authority thus has the responsibility to ensure a coherent process in property valuation and property taxation – from data collection and case processing of the property valuation and the tax base to dissemination and explanation of the property value and property taxation to the individual homeowner.
It places great demands on our ability to protect data, systems, processes and physical values – and on our ability to handle situations where something does not go as planned.
About the Security and Emergency Preparedness Office
In the Security and Emergency Preparedness Office we work with information security, emergency preparedness and data protection. We support the organization with advice, risk assessments, awareness, compliance and implementation of security requirements, just as we work to ensure a strong and well-functioning crisis- and IT preparedness. We have a strong professional environment with room for both specialists and colleagues who are building their professionality.
We have a good and informal tone, where humor and high spirits are highly valued. Even though we can be busy at times, we help each other, pull together and make a point of it also being fun to go to work.
Your tasks
As an information security and implementation specialist you will be part of the work to develop and implement information security in the Assessment Authority.
Your tasks can include, among others
- Work on translating and implementing ISO 27001 in the Assessment Authority
- Information security in connection with development work around the new property valuation and property tax systems
- Information security in connection with in-house development in the agency
- Preparation of local policies, campaigns and awareness activities
- Risk assessments of the agency’s business processes and system usage
- Implementation and follow-up on selected SoA control areas
- Secretarial support for the Information Security Committee, which has the agency’s director as chair
- Responding to consultations, inspections and maturity measurements from, for example, the Ministry, the National Audit Office or other policy-responsible units
- Advice and sparring to the other offices in the agency
- Project management and/or project participation
You will play a central role in translating requirements and standards into something that works in practice in the rest of the organization. It requires both expertise, structure and not least the ability to collaborate with colleagues who do not necessarily have information security as their primary area of expertise.
Your profile
We imagine that you have a relevant higher education or other relevant background.
As an information security and implementation specialist it is a prerequisite that you have experience with information security such as ISO 27001, risk assessments, compliance, security requirements or implementation of information security in a larger organization. You do not need to have experience in all the areas we work with. The most important is that you have solid expertise, have experience in the area and can translate your knowledge into solutions that work in practice.
We place emphasis on you
- are analytical and structured
- can create overview and follow up on agreements and tasks
- have an eye for both details and connections
- have good collaboration skills and contribute to achieving common goals
- can communicate clearly both in writing and orally
- are curious and eager to learn
- can operate in an organization with many stakeholders and different professional areas
- take responsibility for your tasks and see them through
We expect you to have commitment, courage and willingness to learn a large organization and an extensive system- and security landscape.
A part of a strong professional network
By being employed in Security and Emergency Preparedness in the Assessment Authority, you will have a broad contact surface.
You will collaborate and network with other information security and emergency preparedness employees in the Tax and Growth Ministry’s group, and across other government authorities. You will also become part of an office where we work closely together on security and emergency preparedness. We support each other, share knowledge and help each other find solutions to the challenges we face.
