About the job

Would you like to help develop and manage the build of the new IT platform and contribute decisively to the Defence's combat capability by applying your professional expertise and IT skills in an area with political and operational attention?

Overall, NATO and the Danish Defence are facing a comprehensive digital and operational transformation to be able to meet future challenges. Transformation is time-critical and involves a cyber-secure, technological, digital and data-centric modernization and organization of the entire Ministry of Defence group.

Therefore we are building a corporate-wide program organization at the Ministry of Defence’s Agency for Defence Acquisition and Logistics (FMI), which is overall responsible for building the digital and data-centric future defence and for steering the digital and operational transformation.

About us

We are looking for a colleague who can help ensure the continued building of the program and deliver on the many exciting tasks the program has.

The program is organized into two main tracks

  • Execution: responsible for a new digital backbone and application migration to the new digital backbone.
  • Digital foundation: responsible for architecture, data model and governance, sourcing and industry collaboration as well as cyber security

The program is part of the IT staff at FMI, and works closely with our colleagues in the cyber division and the “Data, IT and Governance”

The program must ensure that the Defence receives a timely and secure IT support in accordance with the settlement agreement and the corporate-wide digitalization strategy for 2025-2033. In addition, the program must implement conclusions and recommendations from IT analyses, which among other things concern the Defence's IT foundation and the need for technological modernization. IT support must thus contribute to a digital transformation of the group and to strengthening the Defence's combat capability.

Increased digitalization is essential for the group to be a timely workplace and to meet NATO strength targets.

The building of a solid IT organization is currently ongoing, and you will become part of FMI and the Program Digital and Operational Transformation (DOT), where your colleagues will be both military and civilian.

We emphasize a good working environment in modern facilities with a standard 37-hour work week, flexible working hours and a paid lunch break. At our unique workplace, you will have time for a life outside work, without you having to sacrifice opportunities for skills development and relevant challenges.

  • Prepare and update local information security instructions, including based on corporate-wide directives and provisions, etc.
  • Dialogue with the Defence Intelligence Service regarding relevant accreditations being or becoming in place
  • Contribute to internal training and awareness activities, e.g., onboarding briefings
  • Handle and report incidents
  • Advise the chief on information security
  • Coordinate activities with other security roles within the unit
  • Coordinate with the agency that operates the information security management system.

Accreditation will constitute a significant part of the work, including Installations-, System- and Interconnection accreditation

It will be carried out in close cooperation with the business and the rest of the program's organization, where you will help ensure a healthy and secure IT system that supports the business needs – today and in the future.

You will participate in projects where you assist with the preparation of requirements specifications, perform supplier follow-up and prepare relevant documentation in connection with the project work.

You will have a large internal contact surface within the Ministry of Defence’s Materiel – and Procurement Agency as well as with other Defence staff. You will of course be offered the further education that ensures you can perform the position.

The workplace will be at one of the following locations: Aalborg Air Station, Karup Air Station or the Ministry of Defence’s Agency for Defence Acquisition and Logistics in Ballerup. There will be an opportunity for home-working days.
