Integrated Daycare Institution "Qivioq" is seeking an educator

Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated pedagogue for integrated day care center "Qivioq" with start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Integrated day care center "Qivioq" is a day care center for 0-6 years.

It is licensed for 96 children. These are distributed in 6 rooms.

Staff in the room: one pedagogue, a social helper and a helper.

In addition there is a full-time kitchen helper, kitchen assistant, manager, a support person in the kindergarten and in the nursery if needed.

The integrated day care center "Qivioq" is open from 7:00 to 17:00, it is located on Samuel Kleinschmidtsvej in the town.

The pedagogue shall be employed as a class-room pedagogue in "Qivioq". He/she shall be responsible for various plans. "In accordance with Inatsisartut Law No. 62 of 20 November 2023 on educational development offers for preschool children, development of plans and activities.

Criminal record and child-safety certificate

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal record and child-safety certificate. Under the law, employment may not commence until the municipality has received satisfactory criminal record and child-safety certificates. Therefore note that the start date can only be agreed once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with consent from the person concerned, where the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are governed by the applicable collective agreement between the Greenland Self-Government, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be with a 3-month probationary period.
