About the job

Do you want an internship that combines project development and relational work? Would you like to help strengthen and develop communities for ethnically minoritized elderly people?

Then you might be our new study intern! We offer a developing and exciting internship program at the Foundation for Social Responsibility in the Sesam initiative.

Sesam is a voluntary social effort aimed at improving the quality of life for ethnically minoritized elderly and their families in Denmark. We do this especially through communities, volunteer work, adult education and collaboration with public professionals.

As an intern you will primarily be attached to our 4 elderly clubs in Copenhagen with a focus on supporting the volunteer elderly to independently run and further develop their clubs and you will contribute to the start-up of a new elderly club. In addition you will also have the opportunity to contribute to our other projects within the effort. You thus get a good combination of administrative and developmental tasks and practical experience in meeting and collaborating with the elderly.

About the tasks

You as an intern have significant influence on your work tasks depending on what you find interesting and relevant to your studies. Your tasks will for example include:

  • Support for Sesam's 4 elderly clubs for club cafes, dialogue meetings and outings outside
  • Outreach work and recruitment in connection with the start-up of a new elderly club in Vanløse
  • Ongoing experience collection, reporting and development of our projects
  • Administrative and coordinating tasks
  • Ongoing communication with partners
  • Communication tasks and preparation of materials both online and in print

Your field of study is not decisive, but it is an advantage if you

  • Are good at building trustworthy relationships and understanding other people’s challenges and needs
  • Want to work with project development and testing of new methods
  • Are interested in working for and collaborating with ethnically minoritized elderly
  • Work independently, responsibly and in a structured way

The practical

  • The internship period is as a rule in the spring semester from January to June 2027 (depending on your study's internship structure).
  • The working hours can be between 20 and 37 hours per week.
  • Send application and CV to [email protected]
  • We conduct ongoing interviews.
