About Supervision and Guidance West

Supervision and Guidance West is a unit within the Danish Health Authority. We supervise treatment facilities and authorized health professionals in Jutland and Funen. In addition, we provide health-law guidance to other authorities related to, among other things, reportable infectious diseases, emergency tasks, environmental cases, forensic autopsies and traffic medicine.

We are about 60 employees, most of whom have a health-professional background as either doctors or nurses, but there are also lawyers, other academics and administrative staff. We are divided into four sections – Individual Supervision, Organizational Supervision, Guidance and Administration.

We have offices in Randers and Kolding. The workplace for the successful introductory position will be at our Randers office, where you will be affiliated with the Individual Supervision section.

Our offices work closely together and are characterized by a good and close collegial collaboration both professionally and socially with a focus on development and learning. We also have a close collaboration with the authority’s other units.

We are a well-functioning training department for the specialist training of public health medicine and have continuously 3-5 doctors employed in introductory and main training positions.

Your everyday life with us

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary team in the Individual Supervision section, where health professionals and lawyers work closely together on the health-care supervision of authorized health professionals.

Your main tasks will be

• Administrative tasks and case processing tasks in connection with the health-care supervision of authorized health professionals.
• Forensic autopsies.
• Health-law guidance for doctors, nurses and other health professionals as well as other authorities, e.g. regarding instructions, guidelines, etc.
• Health-professional guidance regarding infectious diseases, environmental pollution and traffic medicine.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

You are a doctor and have completed the clinical basic education.

You are keen to try the community medicine specialty and are good at cooperating in a multidisciplinary environment.

In addition, we attach importance to the following

• Interest in and preferably experience with one or more of our areas of work.
• Interest in organizational medical tasks.
• Interest in health-law issues.
• Desire to work across disciplines.
• Good communication skills.
• Driver's license and a car for use.

An exciting and varied job where you get an introduction to authority tasks and the public health medicine specialty. You will have the opportunity to use your clinical experience to work with administrative medical tasks.

We emphasize supporting flexible working conditions, and the framework for work planning is discussed between the supervisor and the employee based on the overall task solution. You will thus have influence over the organization of your tasks.

You will be covered by a flexitime agreement. You will have flexible work arrangements, and after an introduction period there is the possibility of ad hoc home working one day a week by agreement with your immediate supervisor.

No matter what background you come with, the work is likely new to you. We provide thorough training, including broad introduction and internal education. In addition, several of the tasks will need to be solved in close cooperation with experienced colleagues.

About the employment

The position is a 1-year introductory position for the specialty of public health medicine (130b-004-91-i-02). The employment is full-time and the start date is desired on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

The workplace is Falstersvej 10, 8940 Randers.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Association of Young Doctors.
