IT Support Apprentice – take on responsibility, diverse tasks and a strong IT toolkit

Are you curious about IT, do you like to figure out why things don’t work, and do you also think it’s cool to help others move forward?

Then perhaps you’re the one we’re looking for. IT support with us is about more than resetting passwords and preparing PCs. As an IT support trainee at Sjørring you will from day one be part of the IT department and get from the start a varied daily life with the opportunity to work with everything from daily user support to, among other things, networks, servers, cloud and IT security.

As you get to know our systems, users and workflows, you will take on more responsibility and become more self-sufficient. In time you will be one of those colleagues whom others come to when they need help, and your solutions contribute to colleagues being able to do their work without unnecessary IT bumps along the way.

You will come to

• Be a contact point for IT support to colleagues in both administration and production.
• Troubleshoot and solve IT problems and assess when a task should be handed on.
• Install, configure and maintain PCs, printers, phones and software.
• Help with user administration and client management.
• Document solutions and help build a good knowledge base.
• Identify recurring problems and devise solutions.
• Follow support tasks through to completion and ensure relevant help.
• Have dialogue with both colleagues, the IT team and external vendors.

You also get the opportunity to gain familiarity with different areas of IT

• Networking, Wi-Fi, VLAN and 802.1X.
• Server operation in Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Microsoft 365, Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory.
• IT security.
• Automation and digitisation.
• IT projects and implementation of new technologies.

Who are you?

We don’t expect you to be able to do everything from day one. The most important thing is that you have plenty of drive and a desire to learn, take responsibility and throw yourself into new tasks. We imagine that our upcoming trainee:

• Is curious about IT and would like to understand how things fit together.
• Wants to take responsibility and become more independent.
• Is service‑minded and good at talking to different types of people.
• Can keep an overview when there are several tasks at once.
• Dare to take initiative and ask when you’re in doubt.
• Can communicate in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
