IT Support Apprentice – start your IT career with us

Are you curious about IT, and do you like helping others? Turn your interest into your education.

At Svendborg Brakes we are looking for an IT support apprentice who will learn to solve IT problems and make everyday life easier for our colleagues. You don't need to know everything in advance – the most important thing is that you want to learn and are willing to ask questions.

You will become part of our IT team in Vejstrup near Svendborg and will interact with colleagues both in Denmark and at our locations abroad. Here you will have the opportunity to apply what you learn in your education in practice and develop your skills through daily user support.

What you will learn and work with

As part of your training you will be involved in tasks together with the IT team

• Help colleagues with IT questions and troubleshoot computers, software and network connections.
• Follow up on support requests and collaborate with the team when a task requires extra help.
• Learn about safe use of IT, access to the network and the company's policies for software and IT equipment.
• Install, test and update software and help get new solutions to work in daily life.
• Write and update simple user guides and document solutions so others can benefit from them.
• Learn to prioritize support tasks and gain insight into the daily operation and monitoring of our IT systems.
• Investigate recurring errors with the team and contribute ideas to prevent them.
• Build on your knowledge through the education and knowledge sharing with your colleagues.

The most important thing is your desire to learn

You are currently studying or have completed the basic course with a focus on IT support. You have a basic understanding of IT and a desire to learn more. Experience with IT is an advantage, but not a requirement – you are seeking an apprenticeship, not a job as a finished specialist. We also place emphasis on the following:

• Can communicate in English, because you will have contact with colleagues abroad.
• Are curious about how IT works, and want to find solutions together with others.
• Takes responsibility for your tasks and asks for help when you need it.
• Want to help colleagues and explain solutions in a simple and friendly way.
