About the job

Would you like a meaningful part-time job where you can help create security, development and good experiences for a child with special needs? Then this position might be something for you.

About the position

We are seeking a stable and caring substitute for a 5-year-old boy living in Vejen Municipality. This is a single-person role of 3 hours per week for 47 weeks per year. The position is hourly paid and without a collective agreement. The timing of the assignment is agreed with the family.

About the boy

The boy has autistic traits as well as a congenital genetic defect. He is motorically, cognitively and linguistically delayed in his development and needs close adult support in activities and interactions.

He thrives best with

  • Stable routines and familiar frameworks
  • A calm and predictable approach
  • Clear guidance and support
  • An adult who can read his signals and needs

The boy is sensitive to sounds and general stimuli, and it is therefore important that you can create a safe and manageable framework around him.

He largely uses physical contact as part of his communication and relationship-building. Therefore it is important that you are comfortable with close contact and can meet him with calm, clarity and respect for his way of communicating.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is calm, patient and present
  • Has understanding for children with special needs or a desire to learn about the area
  • Can create structure and security
  • Has good relational skills
  • Can work independently and take responsibility
  • Is stable and meets the child with recognition and respect

We offer

  • A meaningful task where you make a difference for a child and his family
  • Opportunity to build a close and secure relationship with the child
  • Introduction to the task and ongoing sparring as needed
  • Flexible planning in collaboration with the family

Application

We process applications continuously and invite suitable candidates to interviews, so the job advertisement may close before the application deadline.
