Join in on play and fun with a 9-year-old girl in Solrød Strand

Can you join in on play, fun and outings? We are seeking an employee for a lively girl who needs support with both activities and personal care.

About the task

Barbie dolls, dress-up and kitchen play are among the favourites of the 9-year-old girl. She loves fun and mischief, and you help her participate in play, play with the family or go on outings.

The girl has developmental delay and a mobility impairment and needs help with all daily functions. You are her hands and feet and support her physically so she can participate in play and activities. She does not have verbal speech, but understands what is said.

You help with bathing, diaper changes, clothing changes and transfers with a lift as well as tube feeding and medicine through the feeding tube. You will be trained to manage her epilepsy and observe changes related to her implanted shunt.

The time together takes place at home and on trips, both one-on-one and with the family.

About you

You are unskilled and preferably have experience with children with developmental disabilities. You take initiative in play and have the patience to learn her signals and way of communicating.

You are prepared for personal care and to support her physically with the use of a lift and other aids. You are also willing to be trained in tube feeding, medicine administration and handling epilepsy.

A driver's license is required. The family's car can be used for outings.

Working hours

We are seeking 1–2 employees for the following shifts

• Every Tuesday from 15:00–20:00.
• Every other weekend in odd weeks: alternating Saturday 14:30–19:30 and Sunday 11:00–16:00.

Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in citizens' own homes (minus BPA) entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and occupational injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
