Junior doctor (level 1) for an unclassified position, Department of Clinical Microbiology, Herlev Hospital

We are seeking a junior doctor for an unclassified position with appointment from December 1, 2026. The position is fixed-term for 1 year possibly with the option of extension.

You will handle tasks related to clinical microbiological diagnostics and counselling. We place a high emphasis on the professional role, including being independent, taking responsibility, showing initiative, bringing engagement and will in collaborative relationships, being able to keep many balls in the air at once and having an eye for patient safety.

The position is a full-time position and on-call with on-call readiness from residence, with 9 doctors in the on-call team.

Department of Clinical Microbiology (KMA) covers all clinical microbiology from hospital and primary sector in the Region Hovedstaden planning areas North and Central, with a total of about 800,000 inhabitants. We are about 150 staff, including 17 doctors, of whom 7 are in training.

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for junior doctors, concluded between Young Doctors and the Regions’ Pay and Tariff Board.
