Anesthesiological Intensive Care Department V, OUH Svendborg has 3 introductory positions available for occupancy on 1 February 2027, 1 March 2027 and 1 April 2027 .

With us you will receive a structured introduction to anesthesiology, intensive care medicine, and acute treatment. You will be gradually prepared for the tasks, and you will never be alone.

Supervision is integrated into both day shifts and on call, and we place strong emphasis on feedback, reflection, and professional progression.

In 2024 the department received OUH’s Education Award for Medical Continuing Education as recognition of our educational environment.

We offer

• 3 months of duty-free, structured introduction and training, including 3 weeks in intensive care
• close supervision and professional support around the clock
• experience with anesthesia, intensive care, obstetrics and operating room work together with a back-up on-site in presence duty
• training in central anesthesiological procedures, including vascular access, nerve blocks, epidural and spinal
• experience with acute treatment of newborns under supervision
• paid for the 8 specialty-specific courses in the introduction program
• simulation and skills training internally and with collaborating departments

• targeted career guidance toward a main specialty training in anesthesiology
• one escort on the emergency medical vehicle in Svendborg

The Department

Department V has a broad anesthesiological task portfolio and provides anesthesia for organ, orthopaedic, plastic, otolaryngology and vascular surgery as well as urology, gynecology/obstetrics and obstetrics and delivery. In addition, we provide anesthesiological assistance around the clock for cesarean section, severely ill newborns, cardiac arrest and other acute calls.

Intensive Care Department has over 4 + 2 treatment beds for highly specialized intensive therapy as well as 2 intermediate-care beds .

The department also has Emergency Medical Vehicle Svendborg , which is staffed around the clock with a specialist in anesthesiology.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable agreement between Young Doctors and Danish Regions.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
