2 introductory positions in internal medicine in Cardiology, at the Cardiology Department, Kolding Hospital, are available for occupancy from 1 March 2027 or by agreement.

Who are we?

The Cardiology Department provides patient care in the cardiology area at Kolding Hospital, in close collaboration with our sister cardiology department at Vejle Hospital.

Together with the Medical Department at Kolding Hospital, we receive and treat acute medical and cardiological patients, just as we have a large outpatient activity within the cardiology field.

The department, together with the Medical Department, is responsible for education of doctors at all levels – including doctors in introduction to the internal medical area, as well as doctors in training programs in the various medical subspecialties.

We can offer you

• Employment from 1 March 2027 or by agreement.
• Introduction to the internal medical specialty.
• You will gain routine in the treatment of patients with heart failure, ACS, pulmonary embolism and atrial fibrillation including anticoagulation treatment.
• Opportunity for training in basic echocardiography.
• Experience with acute medical and cardiological patients at an acute hospital, with solid backing from experienced colleagues.
• A good learning and working environment with fixed weekly professional teaching
• Solid cardiology specialist capacity with good opportunities for clinical supervision and sparring.

Your tasks

• You will be placed in the shared on-call team, which the Cardiology Department shares with the Medical Department.
• The on-call duty covers acute heart patients admitted to the Heart Department and acute medical patients in FAM.
• Daytime work in Cardiology includes ward rounds and outpatient work under supervision of specialists.

Employment terms

You will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Regions and the Association of Young Doctors.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
