About the job
We are looking for a payroll consultant who wants to combine high professional expertise with good service. You should be able to handle administrative tasks confidently and correctly, but also be eager to act as an advisor to the municipality's managers and contribute to making rules, collective agreements and processes understandable and applicable in practice.
The tasks are carried out in a well-functioning team with many and varied tasks, exciting challenges and a high degree of mutual help.
Who are we?
HR-Payroll consists of 11 committed and professionally skilled payroll consultants and an apprentice, who every day support the municipality's managers and employees with payroll and personnel administrative tasks.
We place emphasis on high professional standards, integrity and helpfulness. At the same time, we prioritize a good working environment where we work closely together, share knowledge and have room for both professional discussions and a good laugh.
We are a department in development, where we continually improve our services, processes and digital solutions.
We have an informal tone and pay attention to one another, both professionally and personally. Leadership is exercised with a focus on freedom with responsibility, responsiveness and flexibility, where psychological safety is an important part of everyday life.
HR-Payroll is a department in the Support and has an office share with the HR Consultant department. We are located at the Town Hall in the heart of Svendborg.
Who are you?
You thrive in a role where you are both a specialist and an advisor. You can explain complex rules in a simple and understandable way and you want to help managers navigate safely in the payroll and personnel area.
You have strong written skills and can prepare user-friendly guides and processes that make it easy for managers to do the right thing.
You preferably have a vocational education or another relevant education or experience within public administration. Experience from a payroll department and knowledge of relevant legislation and municipal collective agreements are an advantage, but the most important is that you are service-minded and good at communicating.
You have good IT skills, preferably experience with payroll systems, and are an experienced user of the Office suite. You work independently, structured and engaged and thrive in a daily life where tasks and priorities can change. At the same time you are a team player who contributes positively to both development and the working environment.
Your tasks
You will become an important collaboration partner for the municipality's managers when they need help with appointments, personnel administration, collective agreements and payroll matters. A substantial part of the job is to translate rules and agreements into practical and understandable assistance so that managers experience competent and present sparring in everyday life.
You will have the opportunity to develop our guidance efforts and contribute to making it easy for managers and employees to find relevant information and use our self-service solutions.
The composition of tasks will depend on your background and experience, but can range between:
- Independent case handling within payroll and personnel administration
- Creation and changes in KMD OPUS Personnel, including employment letters and allowances
- Interpretation of collective agreements, accords and legislation
- Advising and sparring to managers on employment conditions, payroll and personnel administrative questions
- Communicating rules and processes in an understandable way
- Preparation and maintenance of guides and information material on the intranet
- Introduction and support of new managers
- Development and optimization of workflows and digital solutions
- Collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality and good service
You will of course receive a thorough introduction to the tasks as well as relevant courses and ongoing competence development.
