Kitchen Supervisor at Nordlundens Idrætshus

Nordlundens Idrætshus is seeking a dedicated and autonomous kitchen supervisor for our day care in Slagelse Municipality. The position gives you a unique opportunity to be involved in starting up, developing and managing the daily kitchen work in close collaboration with an external production kitchen and the pedagogical staff.

Who are we?

Nordlundens Idrætshus is a certified sports facility with space for about 120 children spread over seven rooms. Play, movement and community are a natural part of daily life, and we work from a child-centered perspective where well-being, participation and learning are in focus.

We view the meal as an important part of the children's everyday life and as an educational space where togetherness, curiosity and good habits are developed.

About the position

As a kitchen professional staff member you will be responsible for the daily operation of the institution's kitchen. The food is produced in cooperation with an external production kitchen, and your tasks will include receiving, preparing, plating and serving meals, as well as ensuring a high quality of meals throughout the day.

You will become an important partner for both children, parents and staff and actively contribute to creating a positive meal culture in the house.

Your tasks

• Reception and handling of food delivered from a production kitchen
• Preparation, plating and serving of meals
• Cleaning, washing up and cleaning
• Self-check and compliance with current food legislation
• Ordering and handling of goods
• Planning of supplementary meals and snacks
• Cooperation with staff on food culture and meal pedagogy

• has a relevant kitchen-related education or experience from a similar position
• has knowledge of nutrition and healthy meals for children
• has knowledge of food safety, self-check and hygiene
• can work independently and in a structured way
• is positive, flexible and accommodating
• thrives in a house with many children and adults around you
• has an eye for economy, planning and resource use
• sees value in the collaboration between the kitchen and the pedagogical practice

Employment terms

The position is desired to be filled by January 1, 2027 .

Salary and terms in accordance with applicable collective agreement.

Criminal record and child abuse background checks will be conducted on appointment.
